Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to the report on the disbursement of public investment capital of Working Group No. 2.

As of November 12, the whole province has disbursed a total capital of more than VND 2,187 billion/VND 2,775.5 billion, reaching 78.8% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister, including: Domestic capital disbursed VND 1,637.9 billion/VND 2,016 billion, reaching 81.2% of the plan; foreign capital disbursed VND 549.289 billion/VND 759.5 billion, reaching 72.3% of the plan. For the capital plan in 2023 extended to 2024, VND 132.4 billion/VND 289.8 billion has been disbursed, reaching 45.7% of the plan.

The disbursement of projects under Working Group No. 2 has reached over 63% of the assigned capital plan; in which, the Capacity Building and Implementation Board of ODA Water Sector Projects has disbursed 95.8% of the plan (adjusted down 150 billion VND), the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of Traffic Works has disbursed 71.7% of the plan; Phan Rang-Thap Cham City People's Committee has disbursed 77.9% of the plan; Ninh Hai district has disbursed 74% of the plan, Thuan Bac district has disbursed 58.2% of the plan.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the investors to strengthen coordination and urge contractors to speed up the progress of projects; promptly remove difficulties in site clearance and arising problems. Relevant sectors and units promptly monitor the disbursement progress, review and advise the Provincial People's Committee to consider and adjust the capital plan from slow-disbursement projects to projects with better disbursement progress, ensuring procedures and conditions for disbursement according to regulations. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also reminded investors of some specific projects such as: It is necessary to speed up the progress of collecting forest products to hand over the construction route of Tan Son - Ta Nang road; soon complete the site clearance of the Northern belt road of the province. Ninh Hai District People's Committee needs to pay attention to speeding up the disbursement progress of capital for the socio-economic recovery and development program in Vinh Hai commune. For completed projects, it is necessary to promptly carry out payment and settlement procedures; Review and update disbursement progress, strive to disburse 100% of assigned capital by the end of the year.
