Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to the report on the Project to Adjust the Construction Planning of Thuan Nam District

On the morning of December 3, comrade Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to the report on the Project to Adjust the Overall Construction Planning of Thuan Nam District to 2030, with a vision to 2050; Adjust the General Urban Construction Planning of Ca Na and the Construction Zoning Planning of Ca Na Lagoon Area, Technical Infrastructure Connection Area, Thuan Nam District.

The Project of Adjusting the Overall Construction Planning of Thuan Nam District to 2030, with a vision to 2050, aims to concretize the Planning of Ninh Thuan Province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 and the project "Developing the Southern Key Economic Zone of the Province to 2025, with a vision to 2030". The planning orients the organization of development space for the entire administrative boundary of Thuan Nam District such as: Urban and rural construction space, concentrated industrial space, tourism space, agricultural, forestry and fishery production space and landscape space. Promoting the advantages of the planning area in terms of geographical location, population and labor, and socio-economics of the region. Synchronizing construction planning with land use planning and socio-economic planning. Serving as a basis for managing construction activities, ensuring spatial development in accordance with the set orientations. In particular, Thuan Nam district is identified as the core in the development plan of the Southern Coastal Economic Zone of the province with an estimated scale of about 43,900 hectares; it is the new growth engine of the province with large-scale dynamic projects such as: Port and port services, logistics, energy, renewable energy, large-scale heavy industries, modern urban areas, high-tech agriculture; exploiting advantages in transportation, characteristics of eco-tourism, high-tech agriculture.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The responsibility for preparing the Project to Adjust the Overall Construction Planning of Thuan Nam District to 2030, with a vision to 2050 belongs to the local government and related sectors. The planning must have a good vision, forecast the future so that when implemented, it is suitable to reality, promoting the socio -economic development of Thuan Nam District and the province. He requested the People's Committee of Thuan Nam District and related departments and sectors to consider this as their responsibility, coordinate with the consulting unit to adjust the planning in the direction of integration with the planning of the Central and the province; especially the orientation of the National Assembly and the Government to continue implementing the investment policy of the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project.
