In October 2022, the People's Committee of Hoai Duc district (Hanoi city) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of inter-regional road 6 (section from inter-regional road 1 to beltway 3.5). The route plays an important role in promoting the economic development of Hoai Duc district and Hanoi capital, contributing to the gradual completion of the district's general traffic infrastructure system.

The Inter-regional Road 6 project is 3.6km long, with a 40m wide road surface, and a total investment of nearly 760 billion VND, but after more than 2 years, only 45% of the construction has been completed, slower than the initial schedule. The main reason is due to the land clearance problem.

The project is expected to be completed after 570 days of construction. However, according to Tien Phong newspaper reporters, the project is still unfinished, with construction progress reaching about 45%.

Mr. Can Anh Tu - Head of the Project Department of the Hoai Duc District Construction Investment Project Management Board said: "Currently, the project is still stuck in the site clearance work with about 100 households in Son Dong commune. The reason for the slow site clearance work is because the new land law has caused policy changes so we have to wait, along with the resettlement area under construction that has not been completed yet".
