Dak Nong border district achieved and exceeded many targets for the entire term.

The economy continues to flourish

In the 2020-2025 term, despite being affected by natural disasters and epidemics, Tuy Duc district's economy still recorded stable growth. Total production value increased by an average of 11.07% per year, exceeding the target set by the resolution (11%).

Tuy Duc district's agricultural economy is increasingly prosperous.

Of which, key sectors such as agriculture, forestry and fishery reached 8.26%, industry and construction reached 14.91%; services grew impressively at 20.16%.

With its agricultural advantages, the district has focused on developing key crops such as coffee, pepper and macadamia. Many agricultural areas of the district meet VietGAP and food safety standards, helping to increase product value. The output of grain crops is estimated to reach 3,792 tons in 2025, exceeding the target of 2,886 tons.

In addition, the District Party Committee has focused on building and developing a high-tech agricultural production model to create a competitive advantage, meeting the increasing demands for food quality and safety. To date, the entire district has more than 1,456 hectares of agricultural land with food safety certification.

High-tech agricultural production is being invested and developed by many Tuy Duc people.

Ms. Phan Thi Khuong, Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tuy Duc district, said that the agricultural economy still plays a pivotal role in the economic development of the district. Up to now, the targets of the Resolution on basic agriculture have basically been achieved and exceeded the set plan.

Along with that, the transport infrastructure has been strongly invested, serving well the socio-economic development of the district. Up to now, the rate of hardened district roads has reached 100%, far exceeding the set target.

In addition, essential items such as electricity and clean water have also met the needs of the majority of households, contributing to significantly improving people's quality of life.

Qualified to leave poor district

During the term, poverty reduction has always been the top priority of Tuy Duc District Party Committee. Up to now, the poverty rate has decreased to 18.78%, and the poverty rate of ethnic minority households has decreased to 21.56%.

By the end of 2024, the poverty rate is expected to decrease to about 12.78%. In particular, according to the total annual assessment score of the district, by the end of 2024, the district will be eligible to be included in the list of poor districts nationwide.

For ethnic minorities, livelihood support programs, vocational education and production development have contributed to reducing difficulties and stabilizing people's lives.

Specifically, during the term, the district created new jobs for 4,897/2,500 workers, exceeding the resolution target. The district organized many vocational training courses for 1,039 people, helping people improve their skills, thereby being able to find stable jobs and increase their income.

This is a result showing the district's efforts in supporting this group of people to escape poverty.

The district pays attention to and invests in traffic infrastructure to connect villages and hamlets.

Production support policies have also been widely implemented for ethnic minorities. The district has invested nearly 592 billion VND in national target programs for sustainable poverty reduction, socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas, and new rural areas.

This support not only helps poor households have more resources to develop production but also improves infrastructure, electricity, roads, schools, and stations, contributing to improving the quality of life.

In addition, the district promotes technical support activities, guiding people to apply science and technology to agricultural production to increase productivity and economic efficiency. Poor and near-poor households are supported with seedlings, livestock and guided on care and breeding techniques.

Macadamia trees have been put into experimental cultivation in many villages and hamlets with positive results, helping people have more income and gradually escape poverty.

Tuy Duc district (Dak Nong) has formed a large-scale, high-quality short-term crop production area, creating great production value.

One of the effective solutions in poverty reduction in Tuy Duc is to develop collective economic models, especially agricultural cooperatives and cooperative groups.

Up to now, there have been 27 cooperatives operating in the district, including many cooperatives producing according to the value chain, creating favorable conditions for farmers to link together and improve the competitiveness of products.

Tuy Duc district achieved encouraging results with a total forestation area of ​​1,687.8 hectares, raising the forest cover rate to 49.77%, estimated to reach 50.76% by 2025, exceeding the resolution.

Sustainable development of the natural environment not only helps protect natural resources but also makes an important contribution to the quality of life of local people.

Along with that, the education and health care system of Tuy Duc district continues to be strengthened and improved in both quality and quantity.

Building a strong Party organization

Tuy Duc District Party Committee always pays special attention to the work of building and strengthening the Party organization. From 2020 to now, the district has admitted 282 more Party members, bringing the total number of Party members to nearly 2,000.

Party organizations at the grassroots level have promoted their pioneering and exemplary roles in implementing socio-economic development tasks in the locality.

The Tuy Duc border area (Dak Nong) is changing day by day, the economy is gradually stabilizing, and the villages believe in the Party's guidelines and policies.

The 2020-2025 term also marked many breakthroughs in administrative reform and anti-corruption, seriously implementing self-criticism and criticism within the Party.

Achieving these important results, Tuy Duc District Party Committee not only completed the assigned tasks well but also created a solid foundation for the next development stage.
