On February 17, the People's Procuracy of District 1 (HCMC) issued an indictment to prosecute the defendant Quach Minh Nhut (34 years old, residing in District 6) at the People's Court of District 1 for trial on the charge of "intentionally causing injury" under Point i, Clause 1, Article 134 of the Penal Code.
According to the indictment, at around 12:30 p.m. on December 14, 2024, Nhut drove a car carrying his biological mother, wife and child to Tu Du Hospital (Pham Ngu Lao Ward, District 1) for a medical examination. When his relatives entered the hospital, Nhut drove the car to park.
Because he could not examine his child, Nhat's wife called him to drive back. When Nhat arrived in front of Tu Du Hospital, there were many cars stuck behind.
At this time, Mr. TTT rode his motorbike to the door of Nhut's car to talk, but Nhut could not hear clearly what Mr. T. said.

Seeing Mr. T. talking in an angry voice, Nhut got out of the car and walked towards Mr. T., using both hands to continuously hit Mr. T.'s face and head a total of 9 times.
Seeing that, Nhut's mother and wife ran to stop him, but Nhut continued to use his right hand to hit Mr. T. in the face and knocked him down on the street.
After being stopped, Nhut got in the car and left. Mr. T. went to the hospital for emergency treatment and then went to Pham Ngu Lao Ward Police Station, District 1 to report the incident and also filed a request for criminal proceedings against Nhut. On December 16, 2024, Nhut went to Pham Ngu Lao Ward Police Station, District 1 to surrender.
According to the expert conclusion, Mr. T. suffered 6% injuries. Regarding civil matters, Mr. T. also filed a request for Nhat to compensate a total of more than 242 million VND, including damages for medical expenses, compensation, health rehabilitation; actual lost income and mental damage.
