Wanted construction company director for apartment fraud

On January 1, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency announced that it had issued a wanted notice for suspect Nguyen Thiem (born in 1976, former Director and legal representative of Trung Nam Design and Construction Company Limited, located in District 5, Ho Chi Minh City) for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

The investigation agency stated: Anyone has the right to arrest and immediately take a wanted person to the nearest police station, prosecutor's office or People's Committee. Investigation results show that Trung Nam Design and Construction Company Limited is the investor of Gia Phu Apartment project in Binh Hung Hoa ward, Binh Tan district, Ho Chi Minh City. During the project investment process, defendant Nguyen Thiem signed a contract to sell all 389 apartments in Gia Phu Apartment to many customers, and the customers paid 100% of the contract value to Trung Nam Design and Construction Company Limited.

However, after being granted the Certificate of Ownership by the competent authorities, Nguyen Thiem did not complete the procedures for transferring 32 apartments to the previous buyer but continued to transfer them to many other people and mortgaged them at a bank to borrow more than 9 billion VND.
