(Dan Tri) - At the end of December, many private schools simultaneously announced enrollment for grade 10 for the new school year.
Vinschool education system officially opened the enrollment registration portal for the 2025-2026 school year from kindergarten to high school. There are currently no specific 10th grade quotas for each school in the system in Hanoi.
In the 2023-2024 school year, Vinschool is ranked in the top 10 schools with the highest high school graduation exam scores in Hanoi in a number of subjects. 90% of the school's 12th graders achieved IELTS 6.0-8.5. The average SAT score for the entire course is 1,418.
Phenikaa Inter-level High School announced enrollment for grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year for two training programs: standard and high-quality. The school has not yet announced the date for application review or enrollment quota.
Doan Thi Diem High School announced the release of 10th grade admission documents from February 18, 2025. Parents and students can register for admission in two forms: directly or online.

Le Quy Don Secondary and High School announced the recruitment of 240 10th grade students, the admission method is based on secondary school transcripts. The school will release admission documents from February 17, 2025.
Ly Thai To Secondary and High School enrolls 480 grade 10 students for the 2025-2026 school year. The school has 4 class models including international English class, high-quality class, group A orientation class and group D orientation class. The maximum number of students per class is 40.
The school accepts applications from December 10 to February 21, 2025. The announcement of admission results is February 24, 2025.
Previously, Nguyen Sieu, Newton, Viet Uc and Ngoi Sao Hoang Mai schools opened the registration portal for 10th grade admission for the 2025-2026 school year on the system.
Nguyen Sieu Secondary and High School is recruiting students for class 10AE (Intensive Academic English class).
Hoang Mai Star Primary, Secondary and High School enrolls 350 students, with priority given to students with excellent achievements.
Every December is the time when private high schools in Hanoi announce enrollment for grade 10 for the next school year. The time for admission and announcement of results is usually no later than March of the following year.
Some non-public schools organize their own exams or only consider admission based on public 10th grade exam scores such as Luong The Vinh, Marie Curie, and Nguyen Tat Thanh.
Last year, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training did not allow private schools to organize their own entrance exams, but only considered transcripts or public 10th grade exam results.
However, in reality, schools still organize competency assessment tests or combine interview and talent selection methods to ensure input quality.
While private schools are allowed to actively recruit students, public 10th grade exams in provinces and cities are still waiting for regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training to plan for the next school year.
