Today (January 11), Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry announced the method of university and college admission for full-time preschool education in 2024.
According to Dr. Tran Dinh Ly, Vice Principal of the school, in 2024 the school plans to enroll 5,095 students for the main campus in Ho Chi Minh City and 2 branches in Gia Lai and Ninh Thuan. The school will use 5 admission methods.
Method 1: Direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and school regulations.
Method 2 : Admission based on high school academic results (review of transcripts), expected to be about 25-30% of total enrollment target.
At the main campus, the school only considers candidates who graduated from high school in 2024, based on the average score of 5 semesters of high school (from semester I of grade 10 to semester I of grade 12). The score of each subject in the admission combination must be 6 or higher. The score of each subject for admission is the average of the total score of 5 semesters of that subject (rounded to 2 decimal places).
At Gia Lai and Ninh Thuan branches, for candidates graduating from high school in 2024, the school will consider based on the average score of 5 semesters of high school (from semester 1 of grade 10 to semester 1 of grade 12), the total score of 3 subjects according to the admission subject group is from 18 or higher. Candidates graduating from high school from 2023 or earlier, will consider based on the learning results of 6 semesters of high school (from semester 1 of grade 10 to semester 2 of grade 12). The admission condition is the total score of 3 subjects from 18 or higher. The score of each admission subject is the average of the total score of 6 semesters of that subject (rounded to 2 decimal places).
For the College level preschool education program (enrollment at Ninh Thuan Branch), the school considers admission based on the 12th grade study results of 2 subjects: math, literature and the aptitude test score organized by the school.
For agricultural technical pedagogy, preschool education, and primary education, in addition to the above conditions, candidates must meet the admission requirements according to current admission regulations.
Method 3: Admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2024, expected to be about 10-15% of the total target. This method is not used for admission to preschool education.
Method 4: Admission based on high school graduation exam results in 2024, expected to be about 50-55% of total target.
Method 5: Admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam combined with international English certificates IELTS and TOEFL (combined method), expected to be about 5-10% of the total enrollment target. Candidates can use the converted IELTS and TOEFL ITP test scores and replace the English subject in the admission subject group.
Candidates with an international English certificate (IELTS, TOEFL ITP) within 2 years up to June 1, 2024, with an IELTS score of 5.0 or higher or a TOEFL ITP score of 470 or higher, and must have the 2024 high school graduation exam scores of the remaining 2 subjects in the admission subject group.

According to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, with the admission method using high school academic results and using the results of the competency assessment test (early admission round), candidates can register for multiple admission wishes and will only be recognized as eligible for admission to the wish with the highest priority.
