Comrades Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ha Thi Hanh, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; representatives of a number of departments, branches, organizations, cadres and members of the Dak Nong Provincial War Veterans Association received and worked with the delegation.
According to the report, in the first 6 months of the year, the War Veterans Associations of districts, cities and blocs have done a good job of advising the Party Committees and the Government, propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, and implementing the Association's Resolutions. Cadres and members are excited and confident in the Party's leadership and the State's management. Members always promote the nature and tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in all fields, contributing to socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in localities and units.
The Association at all levels coordinated with organizations and units to visit, encourage and present 2,134 gifts, with a total amount of more than 1 billion VND to policy families, poor and near-poor households, and families of War Veterans Association members in difficult circumstances. War Veterans Association members donated 7,400m2 of land and individuals volunteered to build inter-village concrete roads, worth 500 million VND.
The association at all levels continues to build and effectively implement the 5+1 model (5 well-off and rich members help 1 poor and near-poor member); support and call for funding to build and repair 5 "Comradely Love" houses, with a total amount of more than 348 million VND.
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Dak Nong province, hoped that the Central Association would pay attention and support the Provincial Association of War Veterans in particular and Dak Nong province to successfully complete the set goals and plans, especially in poverty reduction.
Concluding the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association, acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Dak Nong Provincial Veterans Association in recent times. In the coming time, the Dak Nong Provincial Veterans Association will continue to implement the Congress Resolution and the emulation movements launched by the Central Association and localities.
The Association of War Veterans of Dak Nong province is interested in building strong associations at all levels and caring for and helping members develop their family economy and improve their lives; continuing to promote the traditional qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers". Associations at all levels promote propaganda, advocacy, and mobilization of resources to do well in poverty reduction, contributing to economic and social development, ensuring national defense and security in the locality.
