Because the camel path intersects with the pedestrian path, the government of Gansu province, China installed a traffic light system in the desert.
Coming to Dunhuang, visitors often cannot miss the experience of riding on camel back to walk around the desert on the ancient silk road.
However, the desert road to the Nguyet Nha spring tourist area in Dunhuang often has collisions between people and camels.
Therefore, China has installed the world's first traffic light system for camels to overcome this situation.
The traffic light here is shaped like a camel. When the light turns green, tourists riding camels are allowed to cross the road. When the light turns red, it is the turn of tourists to walk.
However, due to the large number of visitors, there is still a camel traffic jam in the middle of the vast desert.
Installing traffic lights is now considered a temporary solution.
The waiting time was so long that many tourists were forced to change direction and go by foot.
