Domestic coffee price list updated at 4:30 a.m. on February 7, 2025

Coffee prices are rising sharply due to concerns about a global supply crunch, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Coffee prices have doubled in the past year, which could put pressure on consumers, as higher raw coffee prices translate into higher retail prices.

The price surge has weighed on demand in major markets and is starting to dampen the explosive growth in consumption in emerging economies. Concerns about future production in Brazil, the world’s largest coffee producer, are growing, particularly after a prolonged drought. Strong exports from Brazil early in the season have exacerbated existing supply shortages. Local farmers have also been selling more than usual for this time of year, raising questions about how much coffee the country has left to export.

In Vietnam, the world’s largest producer of Robusta coffee, production is also threatened by a number of factors that have been analyzed many times in recent times. The combination of these factors is forecast to push global inventories to a 25-year low.

Coffee inventories in warehouses managed by exchanges are also on the decline, according to analysis by coffee industry experts. However, the amount of coffee awaiting quality assessment has recently increased, suggesting that record prices are attracting more supply to the exchange.
