(Dan Tri) - The Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 opens one more day for some booths to facilitate people and tourists to visit.
On December 22, the Office of the Ministry of National Defense issued Document No. 11921/VP-DN conveying the opinion of Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Head of the Steering Committee of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024, on extending the opening time of some booths until December 23 (the original plan was to open only until 3:00 p.m. on December 22).
Accordingly, the exhibition booths with extended service time include the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (shooting, AI technology...); the exhibition area of achievements in building the people's armed forces, building the national defense of the Economic Department; the Vietnamese cultural space of the Propaganda Department,...
Opening hours are from 8am to 3pm on December 23. People can visit from the Nguyen Son Street gate and the Dam Quang Trung Street gate. From 12pm on December 23, the Nguyen Son Street gate will be closed.
Due to the conditions of Gia Lam airport ensuring security and safety for air forces of various countries to take off, it does not accept personal vehicles of exhibition visitors. Visitors should proactively park their vehicles outside the gate on Nguyen Son and Dam Quang Trung streets.
Previously, speaking at the exhibition, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien highly appreciated the organization of the exhibition with many outstanding innovations in methods, display content and presentation forms.

Besides, Senior Lieutenant General Chien also praised the efforts of the entire organizing committee, especially in serving the large number of visitors.
The exhibition organizers mobilized all available food, provisions and drinks to provide free of charge, ensuring that all visitors were well served.
Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien also requested to expand resources, mobilize sponsors, or use the defense budget if necessary to supplement dry food, drinking water and milk to serve people for the next day.
The General emphasized, "this is the spirit of serving the people", units must coordinate closely to ensure the event goes smoothly and best meets the needs of the people.
Vietnam Defence Expo 2024, hosted by the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, will take place from December 19 at Gia Lam military airport, Long Bien, Hanoi.
This is an activity in a series of events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day. This year's exhibition is many times larger than the first one in 2022, with a total area of over 100,000m2 (indoors are 15,000m2 and outdoors are over 20,000m2).
There are 242 domestic and foreign units and enterprises participating in displaying products in the field of defense technology.
This exhibition displays 69 types of weapons and equipment researched, developed and produced by the Vietnam People's Army from 2022 to present.
The Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 has special significance, being an outstanding international event with the message "Peace - Cooperation - Mutual Development", contributing to promoting foreign affairs and defense cooperation in all fields; for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
