Over 4.5 billion VND to support women in border areas

On the basis of inheriting the achievements of the previous period, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the Provincial Women's Union and the Provincial Border Guard Command have coordinated and implemented activities to ensure practicality and effectiveness, mobilizing the participation and support of women of all classes, border guards, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to join hands towards poor women and children in border areas.

Through programs and activities, the units organized 11 vocational training classes for 347 women, introduced jobs to 155 women; presented 64 livelihood models; supported 82 women to borrow capital for economic development; gave gifts and scholarships to disadvantaged women, policy families, poor children, etc. with a total cost of 4.5 billion VND.

Effectively implementing the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's, contributing to fostering the values ​​of Vietnamese families" in border communes, the units have coordinated to propagate and raise awareness for more than 10,800 members and women in the border area about knowledge and skills to build happy families; mobilize members and women to plant 150 trees, clean up village roads and alleys; build a model of "Green - Clean - Beautiful - Safe Family"; effectively maintain the model of "Women's Association of 3 safes". Thereby supporting 40 households of members and women to meet the criteria of "5 no's, 3 clean", helping 66 poor female-headed households in 4 border communes escape poverty.

Representatives of the Provincial Women's Union and the Provincial Border Guard Command presented certificates of merit to outstanding individuals.

On this occasion, the Women's Union awarded certificates of merit to 9 groups and 26 individuals; the Provincial Border Guard Command awarded certificates of merit to 2 groups and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the program "Accompanying women in the border areas" for the period 2021 - 2025.
