Idol trend stirs up in 2025?

Broadcasting station (+84) is holding an online recruitment to find candidates with artistic talent. The organizers hope to create new idols through this program.

Go to the province to hunt potential idols

After the online recruitment period, the first leg of the Broadcasting Station (+84) went to the Western provinces such as Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, An Giang, Ben Tre and Tien Giang to directly recruit students from March 2 to 18.

The contest is open to all Vietnamese citizens aged 16 and over with artistic talent, regardless of field: singing, dancing, drama, circus, stand-up comedy...

After passing the selection round, candidates will enter the training journey at the common house. They are trained systematically under the guidance of leading experts.

Producer Kai Nguyen said the program has the mission of "collecting" and "distributing". "Collecting" is a journey to find hidden talents across the country, after which they are trained to become professional artists.

"Phat" is these new artists who continue to develop and create works of high artistic and entertainment value to serve audiences at home and abroad.

Another talent search program is Talented Rookie - Show it all Vietnam - from the producer of Anh trai vu ngan cong gai, scheduled to air this April.

The program is copyrighted in China and is a project to train and develop young artists.

Currently, Talented Rookies has started recruiting online from February 19. Vietnamese citizens living in Vietnam and abroad between the ages of 16 and 27 can participate in the contest.

On the fanpage, the program's producer's wish is to "train a generation of all-round idols to continue and spread the quintessence and values ​​of Vietnamese culture and art that the talented and beautiful ladies can connect with, bringing a top-notch reality TV show with the participation of international experts and many mentors who are leading Vietnamese artists".

Idol trend blooms on small screen

The search and creation of talent by television is not new. Since 1991, Ho Chi Minh City Television has started organizing the Television Singing Contest. Some singers such as Nhu Quynh, Thu Minh, Duc Tuan... became popular singers at that time after the contest.

The National Television Singing Festival Sao Mai organized by VTV since 1997 has successively created talented faces Hoang Hai, Ngoc Khue, Khanh Linh.

However, these TV shows only stop at discovering and awarding prizes. After the show, most of the winners "swim" on their own to continue to prove their abilities and survive in showbiz.

There may be an oversupply of idol game shows. But if done well, idols will develop, participate in many reality TV shows, talk shows, become MCs and actors in movies and TV series."

Recently, Vietnam has witnessed the emergence of many talented artists, with their own unique artistic styles and personalities. They have not only made a strong impression in the country but also pioneered the expansion of Vietnamese art to the world.

This shows that Vietnamese art does not lack talent, but on the contrary, is developing strongly and integrating with the world's artistic "taste".
