On February 5, Xuan Truong Construction Enterprise organized the experience of "Khe Coc Cultural Space" in Trang An Scenic Complex.
Participating in the experience were comrades: Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Also attending were leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee; Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of departments, branches, localities and a large number of people in Hoa Lu district.
Delegates visited and experienced the exhibition space, recreating the life of the ancient community of Trang An on Khe Coc Island. According to archaeological research, Trang An was invaded and transformed by the sea many times. The changes in terrain, geology, and geomorphology over a long period of millions of years have created a masterpiece of natural architecture and landscape "strange mountains, beautiful waters, and fairy caves".
The prehistoric cultural story at Trang An epitomizes the global process of human response to post-glacial sea level rise in the region, to the extent that it can be considered a model for comparison with other sites in the region that were subjected to the same impacts.
In particular, Khe Coc Island is the place to recreate a perspective of the cultural living space of the ancient residents of Trang An after the sea retreat, when the natural environment in the alluvial valley along the stream created favorable conditions for people to initially settle, exploit and create rich forms of cultural activities interwoven between valley residence and cave shelter, between initial production and natural exploitation. In the harsh and violent changes of the landscape, the prehistoric people here still adapted, developed, molded, built and created outstanding global cultural values.
The restoration and reenactment of the cultural life of the ancient residents of Trang An on Khe Coc Island is intended to provide visitors with a vivid, realistic view of human life in the past; to preserve and pass on the Heritage to future generations, to understand, to know, to cherish and be proud of their historical roots. At the same time, the restoration helps today's and future generations understand valuable historical lessons to always know how to care for "mother nature", protect the living environment, organize human life in harmony with nature, and find ways to adapt to today's climate change.
Khe Coc Island was also the venue for the opening ceremony of the 2nd Ninh Binh - Trang An Festival. Through the event, the image of Ninh Binh as a safe, attractive, and friendly destination for the land and people of the ancient capital of a thousand years of culture, integration, and development was introduced to the people and tourists.
Experiencing "Khe Coc Cultural Space" is a new tourism product put into operation by Xuan Truong Construction Enterprise during the Lunar New Year 2024. This is also an activity in a series of events towards the 10th anniversary of Trang An being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage, and at the same time to promote the image, outstanding global values of landscape, geology, geomorphology and culture of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, towards the goal of building Ninh Binh into a Millennium Heritage City and a centrally-run city.
