Accordingly, the Inspector of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health fined ASEAN Dermatology Clinic VND 104 million for many violations including: The practitioner responsible for the technical expertise of the medical examination and treatment facility was not present at the facility during the time the facility registered to operate without authorizing another person as prescribed; Advertising medical examination and treatment services without content about the scope of professional activities stated in the license; Listing the names of departments and rooms inconsistent with the medical examination and treatment operation license issued by the competent authority.

With the above violations, ASEAN Dermatology Clinic's operating license was revoked for 4 months. At the same time, this clinic was forced to dismantle and delete advertisements advertising medical examination and treatment services that lacked content about the scope of professional activities stated in the license.

In addition, the Health Department Inspectorate also revoked the medical practice certificate for 3 months for Ms. Ta Thi Thu Mai (the person in charge of professional matters of the facility).

Also at this clinic, the Health Department Inspectorate discovered that Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Truc (Technician) had been practicing medicine without a license to practice. For this violation, Ms. Truc was fined more than 36 million and forced to pay back more than 1 million VND in illegal profits from the violation.

In addition, the Department Inspectorate also discovered that Ms. Nguyen Thuy Trang (owner of ASEAN INSTITUTE CLINIC - registered at the same address) had circulated medical equipment of type C, D on the market without a certificate of registration or an import license. For this violation, Ms. Trang was fined 45 million VND and had her operations suspended for 2 months.

It is known that previously, the Hanoi Department of Health issued Decision No. 525/QDXPVPHC dated October 26, 2023, administratively sanctioning the Dermatology clinic under ASEAN PK Company Limited at 3rd floor, 88 Bui Thi Xuan (Nguyen Du ward, Hai Ba Trung district) 80 million VND due to the discovery of many violations including:

The practitioner responsible for the technical expertise of the medical examination and treatment facility of the above-mentioned facility is absent; the signboard does not contain sufficient basic information as prescribed by law; the price of medical examination and treatment services is not posted; one of the following conditions is not ensured after being granted a license to operate medical examination and treatment; and a medical examination and treatment book is not kept as prescribed by law.

In addition, the authorities discovered that this dermatology clinic also advertised medical examination and treatment services but the content was not confirmed by a competent state agency before advertising.

In addition to the fine, the additional penalty for this clinic is the revocation of the right to use the license to practice medicine for 3 months; and the revocation of the right to use the practice certificate for 2 months of the doctor in charge of the clinic's professional expertise.
