(CLO) A series of valuable antiques will be auctioned in France on March 5. Among them, the royal robe (dragon robe) believed to belong to a Nguyen Dynasty king will be auctioned with a starting price of about 50,000 Euros.
The auction organized by auction house Lynda Trouvé (France), related to the Indochina theme will be auctioned in March.

Specifically, more than 99 lots of antiques, including many antiques from the Nguyen Dynasty, Le - Trinh Dynasty, Indochina paintings... are expected to be auctioned on March 5 local time.
Among the antiques put up for auction this time, the most notable is a royal robe (dragon robe) believed to have been worn by a Nguyen Dynasty king (unknown which king) during grand court sessions.
The king's robe, described by the auction house as "unusual and rare", is made of silk and gold thread. It is 136cm long and 250cm wide.
The middle of the shirt is embroidered with a five-clawed dragon motif, a total of five dragons are embroidered on the shirt. Below the dragon is a motif of two unicorns carrying a bagua.
The auction house also said that the shirt is missing some parts at the shoulders, the inner lining has also been replaced. The starting price for this king's shirt is from 30,000 - 50,000 Euro (about 800 million VND to 1.3 billion VND).
Previously, shirts believed to belong to King Bao Dai and King Khai Dinh were also auctioned many times in France.

In this auction, many valuable antiques were also put up for auction. Among them, the most valuable is a pair of porcelain pots painted with phoenix patterns, with the Chinese characters "Noi phu thi doai" embossed underneath.
This pair of pots is said to have originated from the palace of Lord Trinh Sam, cast by the Lord specifically for his beloved concubine Dang Thi Hue (who was favored by the Lord). The starting price for the pair of pots is from 60,000 - 100,000 Euro (about 1.5-2.6 billion VND).
In addition, in the batch of antiques about to be put on the market, there is also a painting by King Ham Nghi depicting a villa in France, with a starting price of 4,000 - 6,000 Euros (about 150 million VND).
Besides, many paintings by famous Vietnamese artists such as Mai Trung Thu, Le Pho… are also about to be put up for auction.
