According to The New York Times, US diplomatic and security officials have drawn up a list of affected countries, with entry bans divided into three different groups.

Specifically, the draft proposes a complete ban on entry for citizens from 11 countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, etc. In addition, citizens from Belarus, Eritrea, Haiti, Myanmar, Pakistan, etc. will be denied immigration or tourist visas to the US.

In addition, citizens from countries such as Angola, Benin, etc. may be restricted from entering if the governments of these countries do not significantly improve their testing and screening processes as required by the US within 60 days.

The New York Times, citing an anonymous source, said the list was drafted by the US State Department several weeks ago and could be adjusted before being submitted to the White House.

Previously, immediately after taking office on January 20, President Trump signed an executive order requiring the US State Department to compile a list of countries with unsatisfactory screening and testing procedures within 60 days, which could lead to partial or complete suspension of entry for citizens from these countries.

Since returning to the White House for a second time, Mr. Trump has signed a series of immigration executive orders that have prompted a large-scale crackdown on illegal immigration. Mr. Trump also signed an executive order to end birthright citizenship, but a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order that took effect on February 5.

In addition, President Trump also signed an executive order declaring a national emergency at the southern border of the United States. This order will trigger the deployment of additional Pentagon resources and the deployment of armed forces to complete the border wall, along with other efforts.

These orders paved the way for large-scale deportations of illegal immigrants, including the use of military aircraft to return illegal immigrants to their home countries. According to Euro News, in the first week after Mr. Trump took office, his administration deported about 7,300 illegal immigrants from many countries.
