On October 14, the Steering Committee and Organizing Committee of the Phu Tho Provincial Defense Zone Exercise (DPZ) held a general rehearsal for the 2024 DPZ exercise.

After a period of active preparation and organization of practice, up to now, all preparations for the Provincial Military Training Exercise have been completed as planned. Conditions for ensuring documents, facilities, accommodation and food for practice and rehearsal, and ensuring for delegates and visitors have been prepared. Through the practice, the Provincial Military Training Exercise Steering Committee has seriously organized experience sharing, pointed out what has been done and what has not been done; at the same time, directed agencies and units to review and supplement the complete system of documents to ensure practice and rehearsal in accordance with regulations.

Speaking at the rehearsal, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Military Training Steering Committee Bui Minh Chau requested: Comrades in the training framework of the province, Phu Ninh district, Phong Chau town and the security and service forces focus on thoroughly grasping, clearly defining tasks, promoting roles and responsibilities, overcoming difficulties, building will, determination, solidarity and high unity to implement and complete the proposed contents well. Each department, branch and organization must proactively check closely, meticulously and thoughtfully the contents before entering the training.

Provincial Party Secretary Bui Minh Chau emphasized that in organizing the training, it is necessary to ensure the tightness and quality of the contents according to the issued plan. The host and each role must be proactive and flexible, discussing the contents must be linked to the functions and tasks of the agencies and units and suitable to the local reality. Each role must be natural, not rigid, deviating from the text but not deviating; linking the theory of KVPT operations with the characteristics and actual conditions of the sector to apply to solving situations set by the Military Region 2 Training Steering Committee.

For Phu Ninh district and Phong Chau town, it is necessary to check, prepare carefully, and organize the exercise according to the time set by the Provincial Exercise Steering Committee; after finishing the exercise of the mechanism, Phu Ninh district and Phong Chau town will organize to draw experience, seek opinions from Military Region 2 to supplement and perfect the contents to ensure the official exercise.

The rehearsal took place at the conference on the mechanism operation: The Provincial Party Executive Committee issued a Resolution on leadership in transitioning the locality to wartime, chaired by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Minh Chau. Next, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phung Khanh Tai chaired the conference to approve the adjustment plan of the Party building committees, the Fatherland Front, and mass organizations in defense operations. At the same time, departments, branches, mass organizations, Phu Ninh district, and Phong Chau town also simultaneously deployed rehearsals for the conferences on the mechanism operation with the provincial level.

Speaking at the rehearsal, Major General Nguyen Dang Khai - Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 2 highly appreciated Phu Tho province's preparation for the KVPT exercise, especially the operational management mechanism and practical comments.

The provincial police also organized training conferences on the mechanism operation.

He noted that for the exercise to be successful, Phu Tho province needs to have a plan to move the exercise force to the simulated combat base; contents related to the A2 live-fire exercise, live-fire combat exercise and the process of moving into the combat base and moving between exercise areas; and the management of confidential documents according to regulations. The exercise content must be adjusted to be closer to the actual situation, paying attention to areas at risk of insecurity and disorder. In particular, the exercise frameworks need to adhere to the functions and tasks of the National Defense Emergency Command Committee; People's Air Defense Steering Committee; Supply Council Steering Committee; Civil Defense Law to prepare documents and develop more realistic exercise plans.

The Steering Committee and Organizing Committee of the Provincial Military Exercise continue to promote visual propaganda; review and complete the contents so that the exercise takes place as planned, with absolute safety for people, weapons, technical equipment, saving and achieving high results.

The 2024 Phu Tho Provincial Military Zone Exercise will officially take place on October 16 and 17.
