Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Thi Tuyen, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; leaders of the Party Central Committee Office.

Speaking at the meeting, voters welcomed the National Assembly's increasingly innovative activities in legislation, supreme supervision and decision-making on important national issues.

Many voters expressed their joy at the changes in the country, especially the achievements and results that the entire Party and people have achieved in the context of many difficulties and challenges. Voters said that cadres and people are very excited about the foreign policy of our Party, especially the event of the US President accepting the invitation of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to visit Vietnam officially recently, which is extremely important. Thereby, it shows that the role and position of the Communist Party of Vietnam is increasingly enhanced in the international arena.

Regarding issues of concern, voters suggested that the National Assembly, the State, ministries, branches and authorities at all levels strengthen solutions to promote synchronous socio-economic development, focusing on social security, sustainable poverty reduction, and creating favorable conditions and environment for businesses to recover and develop production.

The National Assembly pays more attention to supervision activities in important areas, such as: planning and implementation of planning, especially urban planning; environmental pollution, waste treatment, fire prevention and fighting in large cities; implementation of key national projects, especially transport projects; handling of suspended projects and slow-to-implement projects of localities that are affecting people's lives and causing waste of resources.

Voters suggested that the State should pay attention to strongly implementing administrative procedure reforms, especially digital transformation associated with information security; promptly synchronize data integrated into citizen identification cards; promote online services, reduce inconvenience for people and businesses; and effectively fight high-tech crimes.

Regarding the arrangement and merger of administrative units of Hanoi city; amendment of the Law on the Capital, voters suggested that there should be cautious steps and careful consideration, paying attention to specific mechanisms. When arranging, it is necessary to carefully study historical factors, traditions, culture, ethnicity, religion, beliefs, customs, practices, geographical conditions, nature, and residential communities. The spirit is to implement in the direction of streamlining, professionalism, modernity, effective and efficient operations, and strong decentralization to the grassroots in management and implementation, especially clarifying the role and responsibility of each level of government in management and operation.

Regarding the revised Land Law, voters suggested that it should be discussed, thoroughly considered and soon approved and promulgated to help remove obstacles in the implementation process, ensuring the rights and interests of the people.

Many people are concerned that people are currently very worried when they go to see a doctor or get treatment. Patients often have to go out to buy medicine that the hospital does not have at a very high price. Medical staff are afraid of making mistakes and do not dare to bid for medicine and medical supplies. The National Assembly needs to amend the Bidding Law and give autonomy to hospitals, and have a specific mechanism for hospitals to proactively purchase high-quality medical supplies to serve patients in the best and fastest way.

Voters welcomed that the fight against corruption and negativity is still taking place fiercely and effectively. There are no forbidden areas or exceptions in handling officials who violate the law, thus creating a new breakthrough in this work. However, all levels from the central to local levels need to consider this task as especially important and must be carried out regularly and continuously. The investigation and trial of these types of cases must be resolute and public, and the handling of officials who violate the law must be very strict and have a high deterrent effect. The recovery of assets due to embezzlement and corruption must be transparent, timely and thorough.

Speaking at the meeting, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong thanked voters for their many concise but profound and practical opinions, correctly and accurately stating the issues that need attention and that the upcoming session of the National Assembly will focus on discussing and deciding. National Assembly deputies will take into account voters' opinions and recommendations to report to the National Assembly in the upcoming session.

Voters of Constituency No. 1 of Hanoi city (including districts: Dong Da, Ba Dinh and Hai Ba Trung) attended the meeting on the morning of October 14.

The General Secretary analyzed and emphasized that the National Assembly is the highest state power body, elected by the people, under the leadership of the Party. The National Assembly has three important functions: making laws, exercising supreme supervision, and deciding on important issues of the country.

The Party leads, the State manages, and the people are the masters. To lead, the Party must grasp the situation, forecast it correctly, understand the thoughts, feelings, and aspirations of the people, and from there propose and successfully organize the implementation of policies and guidelines for national development, for the prosperous and happy life of the people.

The same is true for the National Assembly. In order to perform its functions and tasks well, before and after each session, the National Assembly organizes conferences to ask for voters' opinions on issues that the National Assembly will discuss; and reports the results of the issues decided so that voters and people across the country know and follow, because the people are the ones who decide.
