TPO - The investor has just announced the consulting unit to survey and design the construction drawings of the water coconut leaf-shaped pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River.

On the afternoon of December 17, informing Tien Phong reporter, a representative of Nutifood Nutrition Food Joint Stock Company (Nutifood, Investor) said that the unit had just signed a contract to implement the package "Consulting, surveying, designing construction drawings for the project of building a pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River".

Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoang, Deputy General Director in charge of the project of Nutifood, said: "The project requires high aesthetics and art, so we chose the joint venture of Chodai & Kiso-Jiban Vietnam Co., Ltd., Chodai Co., Ltd., Niwa Architecture Co., Ltd. to ensure that the project is carried out perfectly, with absolute safety and artistic value."

According to the agreement, the contractor consortium will conduct survey consulting, prepare construction drawing design documents (including building information models), and install site clearance stakes and road boundary markers.

To ensure the highest quality, the Joint Venture will conduct “wind tunnel testing” at a reputable unit in Europe or the US, improving the accuracy and safety of the project.

According to Mr. Ho Thai Hung - representative of the Joint Venture of Contractors, wind tunnel testing is of particular importance for complex architectural works such as the pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River.

"With a 187m central span, low dome and wind-resistant structure like a kite, testing at the world's leading prestigious centers is necessary to ensure the safety and quality of the project," Mr. Hung informed.

The pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River has a unique design, simulating the image of "water coconut leaves gently floating on the river", a symbol of life in harmony with nature.

It is expected that Nutifood will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River on April 30, 2025 and inaugurate it in 2027.
