(Fatherland) - The Spring Festival across the country will take place from February 14, 2025 to February 16, 2025 (ie January 17, 18, 19 of the lunar calendar) at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi.
The festival aims to honor the traditional cultural values of Vietnamese ethnic groups, contributing to strengthening the great national unity of the community of 54 ethnic groups, bringing the traditional Tet atmosphere to serve tourists in the early days of spring at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.
More than 300 ethnic people participated in the event
Delegates and visitors attending the Festival will be able to immerse themselves in the rituals, festivals, customs and practices of cultural entities; learn more about cultural values and traditional activities to celebrate Tet and celebrate spring, typical of ethnic communities; demonstrate community solidarity, support each other to develop together, thereby educating the Vietnamese generation to be aware of their responsibility in preserving, maintaining and promoting the traditional cultural identity of the nation.
About 200 people from 28 ethnic communities in 14 localities representing ethnic groups and regions and more than 100 people from 16 ethnic groups and 11 localities are working daily at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village: Nung, Tay (Thai Nguyen); Dao (Hanoi); Mong (Ha Giang); Muong (Hoa Binh); Lao, Thai, Kho Mu (Son La); Ta Oi, Co Tu (Thua Thien Hue); Ba Na, Gia Rai (Gia Lai); Xo Dang (Kon Tum); Raglai (Ninh Thuan); E De (Dak Lak), Khmer (Soc Trang) will attend the Festival.
The highlight of the Festival is the program of songs celebrating the glorious Party, celebrating the spring of At Ty, celebrating the country entering a new era, the era of national growth - Party and State leaders congratulate the ethnic people on Tet, taking place from 8:30-10:00 on February 15, 2025, Saturday (ie January 18) at the festival yard of ethnic village III with art programs: songs about the Party, praising Uncle Ho, about the spring of ethnic groups with joy, excitement of the country's renewal, confidence in the opportunities of the new era, the era of national growth; Party and State leaders congratulate the ethnic people on Tet at the Festival, give gifts to prestigious people among ethnic groups and participate in rituals and festivals of ethnic groups, plant souvenir trees in the Muong ethnic village.
On February 15, there were also activities recreating traditional rituals and festivals, performing unique heritages of ethnic groups at the "Common House" such as: Recreating the New Year tower opening ceremony of the Cham people in Ninh Thuan province; recreating the New Rice Celebration Ceremony of the Raglai people in Ninh Thuan province; recreating the Khai Ha Festival and introducing the Bamboo Calendar performance - National intangible cultural heritage of the Muong people in Hoa Binh province; Introducing excerpts of the ritual: singing and dancing to celebrate under the cotton tree (kin gong booc may) of the Thai people in Thanh Hoa province.

In addition, the "Spring Festival" program takes place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on February 14-16, 2025 (January 17, 18, 19) (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) with activities such as responding to the Tet tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho by ethnic people who are active every day in the Village with the theme "each person plants a tree" in the space of ethnic villages; Introducing cuisine, Tet dishes: banh chung, banh tet, sticky rice, roasted chicken, roasted pork, sausage, wine... (in the space of Thai, Muong, Lao, Mong, Dao, Tay, Nung, Kho Mu, Khmer ethnic houses); Introducing folk songs, folk dances, folk music about spring, songs about spring, praising the homeland, the Party, and Uncle Ho in ethnic villages; folk game activities "Spring Festival": bamboo dancing, stilt walking, swinging... interacting in the space of the Northern ethnic groups: Nung, Tay, Mong, Dao, Muong, Lao, Thai, Kho Mu with the ethnic groups of the Central Highlands and the South, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere; Introducing the pink color of buckwheat flowers, the white color of apricot and plum flowers, and the peach color of the Northwest./.
