On April 15, Tim Cook unexpectedly arrived in Vietnam and joined a busy schedule for two days, April 15-16. Every move of the Apple leader was closely monitored. Domestic and international media simultaneously reported on this event. The US newspaper CNBC called Vietnam “one of the most important production locations” for Apple.
On social network X, Tim Cook does not forget to share pictures of the places he has visited, most of which are cleverly combined with the products and services that Apple is providing. Thanks to these pictures, everyone can know where the Apple CEO goes, what he does, and who he meets in Vietnam.
CEO Tim Cook “greeted” Vietnam in his first post on X on April 15. He thanked the two artists My Linh and My Anh for their warm welcome and shared his love for egg coffee. Later, singer My Linh also expressed her feelings when receiving Apple leaders in the place “where she and her mother were born and raised – beloved Hanoi”.
The second person Tim Cook interacted with was Ngo Duc Duy – or Duy Tham, a famous 9x content creator on social networks. When posting a selfie with Duy Tham, the Apple CEO did not forget to praise the iconic beauty of Hoan Kiem Lake. “It was great to spend time with Duy and watch him create with Cinematic mode on iPhone 15 Pro,” he wrote.
The next destination for the Apple “captain” was director Phuong Vu’s Antiantiart studio. He expressed his excitement at the crazy creativity of the team here. “They showed me how to use iPhone, iPad and Mac to bring anything from imagination to life,” Tim Cook praised the studio.
After lunch, many people saw the Apple CEO at a coffee shop on Hai Ba Trung Street on the afternoon of April 16. Tim Cook impressed with his friendly appearance and constantly raised his hand to make a V-sign and a constant smile to greet everyone.
Tim Cook’s journey continued with a meeting with three developers of CollaNote, ELSA Speak, and Bootloader. He called them “great examples of Vietnam’s rapidly growing developer community.”
His first day in Vietnam ended with a meeting with choreographer and dancer VietMax and rapper Suboi. “It was great to see the energetic Vietnamese hip-hop culture,” the Apple CEO wrote on X.
On the morning of April 16, Tim Cook traveled to Hanoi Star Primary and Secondary School. There, he interacted with students and teachers in the school yard and attended an environmental lesson where students used iPads to study. He also expressed his gratitude for learning how to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
Tim Cook's final destination during his working trip to Vietnam was the Government Headquarters. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hosted a reception for the Apple CEO and his delegation.
At noon the same day, Apple CEO Tim Cook boarded a private jet to leave Vietnam. According to the media, he may arrive in Indonesia on April 20.
