The 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Quang Nam province has the theme "Promoting the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, ensuring the people's mastery, strengthening the strength of the great national unity bloc, striving to build Quang Nam into a fairly developed province of the country by 2030". With the spirit of "Democracy - Solidarity - Innovation - Development", the Congress is one of the important political and social events.
In his opening speech, Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province emphasized: “Over the past 5 years, thoroughly grasping the viewpoints and policies of the Party and the Vietnam Fatherland Front on building the great national unity bloc, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have promoted their core political role, chaired, coordinated, and unified with member organizations and authorities at all levels to actively innovate the content and methods of operation, flexibly and proactively implement the Resolution of the 10th Provincial Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front Delegates, term 2019 - 2024 in a specific, practical and effective direction”.
In the new term, the Congress has set out 6 specific action programs, which are: Innovating propaganda, mobilization, gathering, uniting people of all walks of life, strengthening social consensus, promoting the strength of great national unity for the goal of sustainable development of the locality; Promoting the role, improving the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, implementing democracy, participating in building a clean and strong Party and government; Encouraging people of all walks of life to promote their role as subjects, actively competing in labor, creatively implementing effective campaigns and emulation movements to contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality;
Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen and improve the effectiveness of people's foreign affairs activities; Focus on mobilizing overseas Vietnamese, promoting the role of the Quang Nam community in the country; Continue to innovate the organization, content, and methods of operation, improve the capacity of the Front's staff at all levels to meet the requirements and tasks in the new period; Focus on building self-governing, united, prosperous and happy residential areas. The key task is to promote the role of self-governance, creativity, sense of social responsibility, and self-reliance of each person, family and community; Mobilize people to promote their right to mastery and actively participate in state management and social management according to the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit" in residential areas and other specific tasks.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, said: “I believe and hope that the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the province will constantly innovate and create, have many breakthroughs in activities, gather, arouse the potential, intelligence and aspirations of the people of all walks of life in the province, strengthen the close relationship between the people and the Party and the government, creating great strength to successfully implement the Resolution of the Congress for the 2024-2029 term, together with the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people in the province to successfully carry out the tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, building a strong political system, contributing to building and developing Quang Nam to become increasingly rich, democratic, prosperous, civilized and happy”.
Speaking at the Congress, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Huu Dung asked the entire Congress to congratulate and commend the valuable results that the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front has achieved in the past term.
For the new term, Mr. Nguyen Huu Dung said: The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the 11th term continues to research and unify implementation with some basic contents, which are: It is necessary to continue to thoroughly grasp Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW dated November 24, 2023 of the 13th Party Central Committee on "Continuing to promote the tradition and strength of great national unity, building our country increasingly prosperous and happy".
Proactively coordinate with the government to effectively resolve pressing social issues at the grassroots level, contributing to ensuring the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people with the viewpoint of "people are the root", "people are the center"; Improve the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism; Promote the application of information technology, adapt to the digital society to propagate and mobilize people in a comprehensive and all-people direction; Improve the quality and effectiveness of campaigns and patriotic emulation movements, including effectively implementing the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" to be completed in 2025, launched by the Prime Minister and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
“In Quang Nam, implementing Resolution No. 06-NQ/TU, dated May 4, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee on continuing to promote sustainable poverty reduction in the province for the period 2021 - 2025. The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has implemented this movement since 2021. Accordingly, it has coordinated to launch a campaign to support funding for the implementation of the Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province for the period 2023 - 2025. I believe that this Movement will be effectively implemented in the province. This is also a favorable premise, an important factor for the effective implementation of Action Program No. 6 of this term on building a residential area of "Self-management, solidarity, prosperity, happiness", Mr. Dung emphasized.
Along with that, focus on training, fostering, and training the staff of Front workers with the motto: Dedication to be loved by the people/Responsibility to be loved by the people/Discipline to be respected by the people/Dynamic to be benefited by the people.
At this Congress, Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province, term X, was elected to continue holding the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province, term XI, 2024 - 2029. In addition, 3 Vice Chairmen were elected: Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung, Mr. Nguyen Van Mau and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong.
