Tien Yen: Focus on creating sources for party member development

In the context of difficulties in developing new party members in many party committees, with many solutions, in the first 9 months of 2024, Tien Yen District Party Committee developed new party members exceeding the target, reaching 104% compared to the plan assigned by the province and is a bright spot in the Party building work of the province.

Tien Yen District Party Committee currently has 29 branches and grassroots Party Committees with 3,050 Party members. In 2024, the District Party Committee was assigned by the province to recruit 110 new Party members. To achieve this goal, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, based on the source of Party member development, developed and issued a Party member development plan according to the target assigned by the province. In particular, strive to have the rate of new Party member recruitment reach 4% or more during the year; complete at least 70% of the Party member recruitment rate in the first 7 months of 2024 and complete the target of recruiting new Party members by October 2024.

To begin implementation, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has worked with branches and Party committees on the work of creating and nurturing sources for developing Party members, focusing on Party members in residential areas and public service units; assigning Party committee members to directly take charge of and direct the overcoming and removal of difficulties and obstacles, and building core forces to serve as a basis for Party member development work. Party committees from the district to the grassroots level have proactively reviewed sources to develop specific plans for implementation in their units and agencies.

In the process of implementing the task of developing party members, the Party Committees of branches and grassroots Party Committees pay attention to units and areas that are limited or have many difficulties in developing party members; assign prestigious Party Committees to closely monitor the process of striving, help the masses have correct awareness, strive to join the Party ranks, and periodically report the process of striving to the Party Committees.

Along with focusing on creating resources in residential areas and public service units, Tien Yen District Party Committee also pays attention to the work of developing party members among students, students, and non-state enterprises. Head of the Organization Committee of Tien Yen District Party Committee Nguyen Cao Khai said: The District Party Committee directed the Organization Committee of the District Party Committee to issue Instruction No. 01-HD/BTC (dated March 20, 2024) on the work of developing party members among students in the area; directed school party cells to launch emulation movements, creating a positive environment for students to participate, contribute and assert themselves. This is an effective way to help schools promptly detect positive "nuclei" to create sources for developing party members.

In addition, the district included the content of developing party members among young people in the dialogue program between the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and the Youth Union on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26). For party cells of private economic units, the District Party Committee directed the review, survey of sources, and issued plans to assign party member recruitment targets; stepped up propaganda and dissemination of the role of developing party organizations and party members in enterprises to party committees, party members, and business owners. At the same time, regularly urge, inspect, and supervise the implementation of the work of developing party organizations and party members in private economic units in the district...

Along with doing a good job of creating resources, the District Party Committee directed the innovation of the content and form of classes to foster patriotism, political theory, and awareness of the Party among the masses. In the first 9 months of 2024, the district opened 3 classes to foster awareness of the Party for 259 masses; opened 2 classes to foster new Party members for 141 probationary Party members. At the same time, the District Party Committee continued to effectively organize the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style throughout the political system and among the masses, in order to raise awareness, responsibility, significance, and importance of Party admission work, and the honor of being in the ranks of the Party.

Thanks to proactively developing plans and implementing them closely, by the end of September 2024, the entire Tien Yen District Party Committee had admitted 114 new party members, an increase of 139% over the same period in 2023, making it the first Party Committee in the province to exceed the province's plan by 4%. Of which, 41 party members were admitted from villages and residential areas; 60 party members were civil servants, public employees, and state-owned enterprises; 10 party members were students; and 3 party members were from non-state enterprises.

It is expected that from now until the end of the year, the entire District Party Committee will admit 10 more Party members, bringing the total number of newly admitted Party members in 2024 to 124, exceeding the plan assigned by the province by 14 Party members. This is a great effort of the Tien Yen District Party Committee in the context of increasingly difficult recruitment sources today.
