On June 27, sailors from the US aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) visited and interacted with children being cared for at the Hoa Mai Orphanage in Da Nang. The delegation, including members of the aircraft carrier, and two cruisers, are paying a courtesy visit to Da Nang from June 25-30.
At the Hoa Mai Orphanage, sailors from the US Navy's USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier experienced interesting jobs such as mixing mortar and concrete to build roads for children.

Sailor Quran McDonald said that during this trip, he hopes to contribute to spreading joy and love between the people of the two countries. “ I hope that activities like today can strengthen the exchange relationship, have a good impact on the future, not only the children but also others ,” Quran McDonald shared.

Sailor Takayla Ingram shared that she and her children were very happy and excited. “ I had the chance to try Pho and Quang noodles, which were amazing. Today we will also visit Ba Na Hills and have the opportunity to participate in a cooking class. Not many people have the opportunity to travel to many places in the world so this is very special for me, helping me to experience many unique things in many different lands ,” said Takayla Ingram.
