At the reception, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh informed about the outstanding results of his working trip to Switzerland on the occasion of accompanying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to attend the 55th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos from January 20 to 23.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee proposed that Ambassador Thomas Gass connect with Swiss financial experts so that the city can consult on mechanisms and policies to build and develop a regional and international financial center in Vietnam; pay attention to supporting the city to approach partners to build an ecosystem, train human resources and invest in infrastructure to serve the financial center.

In addition to the financial sector, the ambassador is requested to promote and mobilize Swiss investors to survey and learn about investment opportunities in Da Nang in the fields of tourism, high technology, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, etc.

Ambassador Thomas Gass thanked the city leaders for their warm welcome and expressed his willingness to cooperate with Da Nang in the fields of finance, high-tech industry, services and tourism. At the same time, he affirmed that he would act as a bridge to promote the development of cooperation between Vietnam and Switzerland in an increasingly practical and effective manner, as well as expecting to reap many good results in development cooperation projects with Da Nang city in the coming time.
