The "For Vietnam Green Buildings 2024" Run is a meaningful event within the framework of Vietnam Green Buildings Week, organized in response to Decision No. 280/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on the use of energy saving and efficiency in the period 2019-2030.

The running race is an event that enriches the Vietnam Green Building Week 2024, organized annually by the Ministry of Construction. This event is not only a sports activity but also carries messages about health, sportsmanship, and responsibility for the living environment.
In addition, the "For Green Construction 2024" Running Race is an opportunity for officials, civil servants, and public employees of the Ministry of Construction as well as athletes from units, localities, and businesses nationwide to participate, compete, exchange, connect, and spread the spirit of sportsmanship and environmental protection.
The running race had the participation of more than 1,000 athletes.
Speaking at the race, Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung, Editor-in-Chief of Construction Newspaper, shared that in the series of activities responding to "Vietnam Green Building Week 2024" launched by the Ministry of Construction, Construction Newspaper is the unit assigned by the Ministry's leaders to organize the events "Vietnam Green Building Journalism Award 2024" and the "For Vietnam Green Building 2024" Running Race.
The first "For Green Construction Vietnam 2024" Running Event, organized by Construction Newspaper in collaboration with Vietnam Construction Trade Union, aims to contribute to promoting and enhancing cultural exchange, friendship and cooperation between Vietnam in general and international friends.
Athletes participate in the 5km distance.
Thereby, encouraging physical exercise, improving the health of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the construction industry in particular and the whole society in general. This is also a meaningful activity in the year of commemorating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024) of the Construction Industry Trade Union.
Editor-in-Chief of Construction Newspaper Nguyen Anh Dung said that through the Run "For Green Construction Vietnam 2024", positive messages will be spread for a green world, for a green community. In particular, after the Run, the Organizing Committee will dedicate a portion of the contribution to share with people affected by the recent storm and flood.
Female athletes won first, second and third prizes in the 10km run.
Through this Run, agencies and units in the whole industry continue to promote the sports movement, contributing to responding and spreading the positive spirit of Green Building Week.
According to the Organizing Committee, the "For Green Construction Vietnam 2024" Running Race has 3 competition distances: 3km, 5km and 10km.
Athletes from the Youth Union of the Central Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association participated in the race.
At the end of the race, the same morning, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to athletes with high achievements in the distances of 3km, 5km and 10km. In particular, the Organizing Committee also awarded a style prize to the oldest athlete participating in the race.
