On April 19, Thuan An Group sent an official dispatch to the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Management Board to respond to the possibility of continuing the contract for two construction packages No. 5 and 6 (under the project of Infrastructure Construction and Environmental Improvement of Tham Luong - Ben Cat - Nuoc Len Canal).

According to the document, Thuan An Group committed to continue to carry out the work it was undertaking in construction packages 5 and 6, and affirmed that it would not affect the overall progress of the project.
As reported by VTC News, on April 18, the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) sent a document to Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company (Thuan An Group) regarding the implementation of contracts in packages XL-05, XL-06 of the Tham Luong - Ben Cat - Nuoc Len canal infrastructure construction and environmental improvement project.
According to the investor, through inspection of the construction site of 2 packages and the report of the supervision consultant, Thuan An Group has currently stopped construction. The construction site management staff and workers are not on site.
The investor requested Thuan An Group to send a document clarifying the possibility of continuing to implement the construction contract of 2 packages. It clearly states the organizational structure of the company, the replacement legal representative... to the Management Board of Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Projects of Ho Chi Minh City before April 25.
Tham Luong - Ben Cat - Rach Nuoc Len is the longest canal in Ho Chi Minh City.
In case Thuan An Group does not respond, the Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board of the City will consider this a breach of contract and will take action according to regulations.
In the XL-06 package (section from Bung bridge to Tham Luong bridge) 2.8km long, Thuan An Group is a member of the consortium of Thoi Binh Construction and Trade Joint Stock Company - Thanh Tuan Construction and Survey Company Limited - Nguyen Le Construction Investment and Development Joint Stock Company - Cong Chanh Traffic Construction Joint Stock Company - Thuan An Group.
According to the contract, in package XL-06, Thuan An Group will carry out the construction of traffic roads and technical infrastructure (except for trees and lighting) on the right bank. The work undertaken is about 53.6 billion VND/458.3 billion VND, equivalent to 11.70% of the package contract.
As for package XL5 (section from Tan Ky - Tan Quy bridge to Bung bridge), according to the contract, Thuan An Group will construct the traffic and technical infrastructure construction items (except for green trees and lighting items) on the right bank. The volume of work of Thuan An Group accounts for 77.5/561.5 billion VND, equivalent to 13.8% of the contract value of the package.
On April 15, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Nguyen Duy Hung, Chairman of Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company, to investigate the crime of violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences.
Defendant Nguyen Duy Hung was arrested during the investigation of the case of "Violating regulations on bidding causing serious consequences; Giving bribes; Receiving bribes" by the Department of Police Investigation of Crimes of Corruption, Economy, and Smuggling (C03) at Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company and related units and organizations.
In the same case, C03 decided to prosecute and temporarily detain Mr. Tran Anh Quang, General Director of Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company, for the crime of "Bribery".
Mr. Nguyen Khac Man, Deputy General Director of Thuan An Group, was prosecuted and temporarily detained by C03 for "Violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences" and "Receiving bribes".
