After a long time of preparation, The Wishful Thinking Car - a film project produced by V Pictures in collaboration with Thu Trang Entertainment - announced the organization of an actor selection round.

This is the first project confirmed to join the Vietnamese box office race on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025.

To select the cast for the film, the producer invited a panel of judges who are prestigious people in the entertainment industry.

The Wishful Journey is a collaboration between V Pictures - the investor of films with good revenue last year such as Chi Chi Em Em 2, Lat Mat 6, Ke An Hon... and Thu Trang Entertainment - the producer of successful films such as Chi Muoi Ba, Nghi Sieu De, Con Nhót Mot Chong...

With the orientation of producing films with Vietnamese cultural elements, V Pictures chose to exploit the story of family affection and Tet culture in Chuyen xe nhu y.

The film revolves around the last bus leaving Saigon on the night of the 30th of Tet.

Two strange girls with different personalities and families suddenly encounter an incident, causing them to fall into a tragic Tet holiday.

Casting announced, the film is looking for four actors for four roles.

That's Ly (26 years old) - a young chef who lives far from her family and often chooses to "heal" the Tet holiday alone.

Ngoc (25 years old) is a vocal teacher, a young lady from a wealthy family.

In addition to the two main female characters, the film also has two boys accompanying them, Khanh and Thai.

In addition, Tet 2025 has another project that has not been officially announced. On the morning of March 22, director Tran Thanh sent a message to the audience when the film Mai surpassed 520 billion VND in revenue:

"Tran Thanh is always grateful for the kindness you have shown Mai these past days. Don't cry anymore next year! Smile!

I'll make a funny movie for everyone to laugh out loud this Tet! See you at the theater next Tet, everyone."
