On the morning of June 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced the 10th grade entrance exam scores for the 2024-2025 school year. Among them, Nguyen Minh Anh, a student of class 9/1 at Tran Quang Khai Secondary School (Tan Phu District) was the valedictorian.
The female student achieved a perfect score of 10 in Math and English and 8.75 points in Literature, for a total of 28.75 points in 3 subjects.
In the specialized category, Nguyen Le Uyen Nhi, Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School, Thu Duc City, leads. Nhi scored 10 points in Math, English, 8.5 in Literature and 9 points in the specialized subject.

On the same day, the Department also announced the score distribution of the three subjects Math, Literature, and Foreign Language.
Specifically, this year's Literature subject did not record any candidates scoring 10 points. One candidate scored 9.5 points. The number of candidates scoring 9 - 9.25 points was 217. The number of candidates scoring from 8 to 8.75 points in Literature was 11,014. In addition, the score of 7 was achieved by the largest number of candidates with 9,182 candidates and 6.5 points by 8,168 candidates.
In the Foreign Language subject (mainly English), about 1,707 candidates achieved a perfect score, lower than the more than 2,100 last year. More than 14,700 students scored 9 or higher. In addition, 2 candidates scored 0.25 points and 4 candidates scored 0.5 points.
In Mathematics, 49 exams achieved perfect scores, 31 exams achieved 9.75; 132 exams achieved 9.5; 123 exams achieved 9.25; 276 exams achieved 9.
In addition, in Math, there were 7,170 exams with a score of 5 and 123 exams with a score of 0.25; 142 exams with a score of 0.5; 188 exams with a score of 0.75; and 256 exams with a score of 1.
After receiving the results, if students want to review, they must make an application and submit it to the secondary school where they are studying, from June 21 to 24 and receive the results on June 30.
On June 24, the Department announced the admission scores for specialized and integrated high schools and direct admission results.
From June 25 to 4:00 p.m. on June 29 at the latest: Candidates admitted to specialized high schools, integrated high schools, and direct admission must submit their admission applications to the schools they were admitted to. Candidates who do not submit their admission applications will have their names removed from the list of admitted candidates.
On July 10, the Department announced the 10th grade admission benchmark scores and the list of candidates admitted to grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year.
July 11 - August 1, admitted candidates confirm enrollment.
The 10th grade exam in Ho Chi Minh City took place over two days, June 6-7, with more than 98,000 candidates participating, competing for more than 77,000 positions.
The general admission score is the total score of the three subjects Literature, Math, Foreign Language and priority points (if any). Candidates must take all three subjects, not violate the regulations, and not have a failing score.
