How to get to Phu Yen?
To get to Phu Yen, visitors can travel by 3 types of transportation: Road, railway and air. Road with the horizontal axis is National Highway 1, the vertical axis is 2 National Highways 25 and 29 connecting to the Central Highlands provinces; Phu Yen has Tuy Hoa railway station - in the center of Tuy Hoa city - about 4km from the sea and Tuy Hoa airport is about 6km from the city center. In planning, Phu Yen province focuses on green spaces in Tuy Hoa city, from which many trees are retained and newly planted on many roads, along the sea, in parks... Early in the morning, visitors can take a walk in the coastal park area of Tuy Hoa city to both exercise and breathe fresh air. Tourist attractions in the city
Nghinh Phong Tower Nghinh Phong Tower was built on the coast of Nguyen Huu Tho - Doc Lap Street, Ward 9, Tuy Hoa City. The tower was inspired by the geological structure of Ganh Da Dia, a famous unique landscape of Vietnam and the legend of "a hundred eggs, a hundred children". Specifically, 100 vertical stone columns are arranged close together and divided into 2 tower blocks symbolizing the legend of father Lac Long Quan and mother Au Co with 100 children going up the mountains and down to the sea to expand the territory and build the country. Since its inauguration, Nghinh Phong Tower has become a must-see destination on the Phu Yen tourist map. Ho Son Lake Ho Son regulating lake is located in Ho Son residential area and stretches along two streets, Dien Bien Phu and Tran Phu (Tuy Hoa city). This is a beautiful lake, which has great significance in regulating water resources and is also a destination for entertainment and sightseeing for local residents and tourists. Nhan Tower Nhan Tower was built on the eastern slope of Nhan Mountain, about 2km from Tuy Hoa city center. This is an ancient Champa temple and tower architectural relic, built around the 11th century. When traveling to Phu Yen, many tourists choose Nhan Tower as their destination to explore the beauty of ancient Champa architecture, containing many mysteries about the creation process of the ancient Cham people. Delicious food in Tuy Hoa
Rice vermicelli with pork offal In Tuy Hoa, visitors can easily find shops selling banh hoi long heo in every alley and corner of the city. Because this is a rustic breakfast dish of the people of Xu Nau (another name for Phu Yen people). Banh hoi long heo is a delicate combination of attractive banh hoi and delicious, chewy, crispy pig intestines. The process of making banh hoi requires skill, from mixing rice types, processing flour, to creating small, non-separate noodles. Pig intestines include parts such as: heart, liver, intestines, stomach... In particular, this Phu Yen delicacy is eaten with a bowl of hot porridge, along with raw vegetables and pure dipping sauce, creating an attractive meal in the morning. The price of this local specialty ranges from 25,000-60,000 VND/portion (depending on the location of the shop). Fish vermicelli Fish noodle soup is a combination of fresh fish - a typical seafood in the "sea land" of Phu Yen - with marrow bones, pineapple and fish cakes. Phu Yen fish noodle soup has many diverse noodle dishes such as: fish noodle soup, fish cakes, mixed... sold at 30,000-50,000 VND/bowl. "Ocean headlight" dish "Ocean headlights" is the beautiful name that Phu Yen people give to the tuna eye dish. The name "headlights" comes from the fact that tuna eyes can see very far, weighing 200-300gr/eye, as big as a handheld flashlight. To create a highlight and enhance the flavor of the tuna eye dish, many restaurants have put alcohol around the earthenware pot, then lit it on fire to create a new, beautiful feeling. The fire keeps the fish eyes hot, making it more delicious. The price of a bowl of tuna eyes is 50,000-70,000 VND. Chives noodle soup Chives noodle soup is a rustic dish in Phu Yen. This specialty is a combination of noodles (small) with fresh seafood such as mackerel, barracuda, squid, shrimp and lots of chives. Chives noodle soup costs 20,000-30,000 VND/bowl.
Destination when going north
Ganh Da Dia Ganh Da Dia is located in An Ninh Dong commune (Tuy An district, Phu Yen), about 35km north of Tuy Hoa city center. This scenic spot has a structure of prismatic stone pillars arranged next to each other, one rock connected to another adjacent to the waves. The stone beach is spread out close together, all with a mysterious black color. There are vertical pillars, some leaning but still stacked layer by layer looking like a stack of plates, hence the name Ganh Da Dia. Because of its unique beauty, most tourists when coming to Phu Yen visit Ganh Da Dia to visit and sightsee. Mang Lang ancient church Mang Lang Church is about 10km west of Ganh Da Dia scenic spot, so it is convenient for tourists to visit. This church was built by the French 132 years ago. This is one of the oldest churches in Vietnam. In addition to its ancient beauty, Mang Lang Church is also the place where the first book printed in Vietnamese script is kept. According to the parish priest of Mang Lang Parish, this ancient book titled "Eight-day Sermons" was compiled by priest Alexandre de Rhodes, then printed at the Vatican printing house and brought to Vietnam to use in his sermons. In Tuy An district, visitors can choose to have lunch at many seafood restaurants in the An Hai bridge area (An Ninh Dong commune).
Destination when going south
Mui Dien scenic spot Mui Dien is known as one of the first places to welcome the sunrise on the mainland of Vietnam. This place is located in Hoa Tam commune (Dong Hoa town), about 35km southeast of Tuy Hoa city. If visitors stay in Tuy Hoa city and want to visit and watch the sunrise at Mui Dien, they must wake up at 4:30 and take about 40 minutes to get to this place. Dai Lanh lighthouse is also a construction associated with Mui Dien. This "lighthouse" was built by the French more than 130 years ago with the purpose of guiding ships operating at sea.
