On June 3, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the decision to register 12 heritages in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Cultural researchers are excited because the 12 heritages in the provinces and cities that were registered in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List this time all have sacred spiritual values for the social life of our country. Historian Nguyen Dinh Tu excitedly said that these are intangible cultural heritages that need to be preserved and kept alive with increasingly strong vitality so that tourists coming to our country will have more experiences about living space in the strong national cultural foundation that only exists in Vietnam. "Cultural heritage is the material and spiritual assets containing the beauty that many generations of ancestors have worked hard to build and cultivate. It can be a folk song formed long ago, or an architectural work bearing the mark of the past... Cultural heritage is present everywhere, to preserve and protect it requires the attention of everyone" - Historian Nguyen Dinh Tu said. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests that the Chairmen of the People's Committees at all levels where intangible cultural heritages are included in the list, within the scope of their duties and powers, carry out state management in accordance with the provisions of the law on cultural heritage. Historian Nguyen Dinh Dau emphasized that we need to make every effort to preserve and protect the cultural heritages of the country and the nation, because this is the clearest manifestation of patriotism. Who loves their homeland but does not love the traditional beauty, love the folk songs, the festivals of the village or an old pagoda, a communal house, a place that carries the breath of life of many generations of ancestors. From that, we also see that protecting and preserving cultural heritage is also protecting the spiritual foundation of the nation. And the spiritual foundation is the soul of the nation, the cultural identity. "Cultural heritage is also the connection between generations of Vietnamese people. The connection between the past, the present, and the future is important for the country to always develop sustainably" - historian Nguyen Dinh Dau emphasized.
