The models of "morning coffee with people and businesses" or investment promotion activities that the young city of Ben Cat has implemented have helped to immediately remove difficulties, bringing benefits to people and businesses.
Dynamic investment attraction
A delegation from Ben Cat City, Binh Duong Province, led by Mr. Bui Minh Thanh - Secretary of Ben Cat City Party Committee, recently visited and worked to attract investment in Yeongdo Island District, Busan City, South Korea. This island district has established cooperative relations with Ben Cat City since 2011.
Mr. Kim Gijae - District Chief of YeongDo District - and the district government discussed with the delegation of Ben Cat City about investment cooperation opportunities in areas such as digital transformation, urban management, environmental protection, etc.
Ben Cat is one of the key areas of Binh Duong with investment from Korean enterprises. Currently, there are nearly 150 Korean enterprises investing in Ben Cat, creating jobs for about 40,000 workers. In addition, there are more than 500 investors and experts from Korea living and working here.
With 8 operating industrial parks with a total area of over 4,000 hectares, Ben Cat city is attracting many foreign investors (FDI) and domestic enterprises. However, this city is not complacent, on the contrary, it always makes proactive efforts to develop infrastructure, connecting with people and businesses.
Previously, during the meeting with the Secretary in charge of economics of the Polish Embassy and the leaders of ILD Coffee VN Company (at Protrade International Industrial Park, specializing in coffee production), the issues that investors are interested in such as land, power supply infrastructure, etc. were taken care of by Ben Cat city. To date, the factory worth more than 84 million USD of this company has been put into operation.

Ben Cat actively connects regions
Talking to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Bui Minh Thanh said that he and the Ben Cat city government always want to listen to and immediately resolve the difficulties and recommendations of people and businesses.
Issues beyond authority will also be summarized to immediately recommend to relevant agencies for resolution.
During a morning coffee session at the end of June 2024, about 30 businesses shared their difficulties and questions with Ben Cat city leaders regarding social insurance payments, corporate taxes, borrowing capital for reproduction, environmental procedures, etc.
These opinions have all been listened to and answered by Ben Cat city authorities.
Ben Cat officially became a city from May 1, 2024, the fifth city and also the youngest city of Binh Duong province. From the motivation of being recognized as a city, Ben Cat is making efforts to jointly implement regional traffic projects such as Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4, industrial projects, urban development, etc.
Ben Cat City is completing procedures to submit to competent authorities for recognition as a type II urban area of Binh Duong province. By 2040, Ben Cat City will be the urban, industrial, service center and traffic hub of the region.

Many investors come to Ben Cat city
Ben Cat's economic structure is mainly industrial (accounting for more than 70%), trade and services account for 29.7%, and agriculture accounts for only about 0.2%. By the end of 2023, Ben Cat's economic growth rate will reach more than 12%.
