Establish the Department of Finance on the basis of merging the Department of Finance and the Department of Planning & Investment. The new Department of Finance has 11 divisions and 2 affiliated public service units.
Establish the Department of Home Affairs on the basis of merging the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Home Affairs. The organizational structure of the new Department of Home Affairs includes 7 divisions, 2 boards and 3 affiliated public service units.
Da Nang establishes 5 new departments after merger
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) was established from the merger of the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Science and Technology, with the new organization consisting of 7 departments and 5 affiliated public service units.
Establish the Department of Agriculture and Environment on the basis of merging the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. This Department will have 6 divisions, 5 branches and 6 affiliated public service units.
This Resolution takes effect from the date of approval by the 22nd Session of the 10th City People's Council, 2021-2026 term. The established departments will officially operate from March 1, 2025.
In addition to establishing 5 new departments, the city decided to maintain the operations of 9 departments and branches, including: Department of Health, Department of Education and Training, Department of Justice, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Tourism, Department of Culture and Sports, Department of Foreign Affairs, City Inspectorate and Office of the City People's Committee.
Thus, after the arrangement, the specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Da Nang city will reduce 5 departments, leaving 14 departments and specialized agencies.
