Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company is associated with the patient and dedicated journey of Chairman of the Board of Directors Nguyen Hong Lam (born in 1948) with organic agriculture and circular agriculture. He is one of the first people in Vietnam to approach microbiological technology and together with his colleagues created the Que Lam ecosystem with 14 member units.

Of which, 8 factories produce organic microbial fertilizers, providing hundreds of thousands of tons of fertilizers each year to all regions of the country and the markets of Cambodia and Laos; organic agricultural production companies, agricultural product companies are responsible for product output. In addition, the ecosystem of Que Lam also reaches out to the people to build a value chain for clean agricultural production including: pigs, rice, fruit trees, tea; circular agricultural production and a chain of organic agricultural stores to develop the community agricultural economy.

In particular, in 2020, Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company launched the "4F Biosafe Livestock Project Complex (Farm-Food-Feed-Fertilizer)" in Phong Thu Commune, Phong Dien District, Thua Thien Hue Province. This is the first circular agriculture model in Vietnam, becoming a new step forward in the journey of pursuing circular agriculture goals of enterprises.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Lam - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Que Lam Group Corporation shared: “I always keep in mind the idea of ​​doing agriculture properly, from there building a foundation, philosophy, always being creative and developing to not only bring production efficiency to people and businesses but also to the community and the ecological environment. Climate change is increasingly complex, the establishment of the 4F complex aims to build a core model for developing circular agriculture, utilizing agricultural by-products, not wasting anything and not leaving anyone behind; thereby changing the mindset of producers and consumers, towards green and sustainable development”.

The 4F model invested 700 billion VND to build a bio-safe livestock complex on an area of ​​15 hectares, including: a factory producing biological products and probiotics using Japanese technology with a capacity of 50,000 tons/year; a factory producing animal feed of 100,000 tons/year; a bio-safe livestock farm with a scale of nearly 10,000 pigs and hundreds of sows; a factory producing organic microbial fertilizers (100,000 tons/year)... The model has become an important "locomotive" for household economic development, building a closed, organic, circular value chain, providing livelihoods for producers and safe products for users.

Mr. Nguyen Van Lich - Director of Thanh Tra Phong Thu Cooperative (Phong Dien District, Thua Thien Hue Province) said that building a circular economic model in association with Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company, his family raises 20 sows and 300 pigs. Waste from livestock farming is treated as organic microbial fertilizer for 3 hectares of pomelo and green-skin pomelo trees, earning more than 400 million VND in profit each year. The cooperative has expanded its association with 30 livestock households in the area to further spread the circular agricultural mindset to farmers.

Joining hands to "sow the seeds" of green agriculture in Ha Tinh land

Many times, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company confided that what he wanted most was to return to his hometown, share and accompany the government and farmers in ecological and organic agriculture to improve economic efficiency as well as repay the land where he was born. Since 2021, the first Que Lam organic agricultural models in Ha Tinh have been formed in Vu Quang, Cam Xuyen, Huong Son, Ky Anh district, Can Loc, Loc Ha...

From only 5-7 pigs/household, a few dozen orange trees/model or a few hectares of organic rice, up to now, Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company is the "midwife" linking 10.25 hectares of fruit trees, tea and rice; 12 pig farming models with a scale of 82 sows, 591 pigs in an organic direction associated with circulation and ecology in the localities. At the same time, coordinating with the province and localities to build 4 business establishments and introduce organic products with a variety of agricultural products such as: rice, pork, rice paper, fruits. All stores and business establishments are organized with training, professional training, store consulting design and professional sales.

Mr. Truong Xuan Ha (Cam Minh commune - Cam Xuyen) said: "From May 2022, the family will join the organic pig farming model, using 100% organic food from Que Lam and using biological bedding and probiotics to treat pig manure as fertilizer in cultivation.

The circular, organic production process helps us save input costs, standardize the production process to create safe consumer products for people. Currently, the livestock model has a scale of 80-100 sows and 2,000-3,000 pigs/year. We have also just opened the Ngân Hà safe food and agricultural store in Hà Tĩnh City, which will complete the closed circular value chain to improve efficiency."

More importantly, with the support of Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company, thousands of local experts and farmers have access to, "see with their own eyes, hear with their own ears", learn about organic agricultural production processes, circular agriculture and spread this decent production method to the majority of farmers and businesses; contributing to the province's construction of a new agricultural production foundation - green agriculture, sustainable development.

In the spring crop of 2024, Cam Vinh commune will pilot the production of organic DT39 rice of Que Lam Group combined with the application of transplanting machines on an area of ​​5 hectares, opening up a new production orientation that brings high income to farmers.

At the time of starting to build the models in Ha Tinh, we were fortunate to receive the attention of the provincial leaders and the decisive participation of pioneering localities. The initial success of the models will continue to spread to build an effective organic agricultural chain, develop sustainably, bring economic efficiency to producers, businesses and the whole community.

Ha Tinh is finalizing the project to develop organic agriculture with specific goals associated with the construction of a complex of factories producing fertilizers, animal feed, supplying input materials to processing, preserving and trading products. This will be a major turning point for production, attracting businesses and promoting the development of high-value goods. We hope to become a "link" in the development chain in Ha Tinh, working with the government and people for a safe and sustainable agriculture; aiming for the goal of farmers and consumers.
