Besides famous tourist attractions such as: Ganh Da Dia, Thap Nghinh Phong, Bai Mon-Mui Dien, Phu Yen province is forming many green tours and routes on coastal islands, eco-tourism to explore new and unique nature.
These tourism packages are professionally built, ensuring legal, safety and environmental protection conditions.
Experience the sea and islands
Phu Yen has many potentials and strengths to develop sea tourism. Besides beautiful beaches and unique rocky cliffs, the province also has many small coastal islands with favorable locations and impressive natural landscapes.
However, currently, most tourists come to the islands in small groups without professional tours or routes to fully explore the beauty and natural value of this place.
Hon Nua is a small island located in Vung Ro Bay (Dong Hoa town). This is a pristine and unique island with long white sand beaches, emerald green sea water and multi-layered coral reefs. Hon Nua is also conveniently located about 10 minutes by canoe from Vung Ro port.
However, the tourists who come to Hon Nua for sightseeing and experience are currently mainly local people or tourists on tours in the province. Some activities such as rowing boat and diving to see coral have not yet fully exploited the potential and advantages of this place.
Mr. Duong Anh Tuan, a tourist in Tuy Hoa city who recently participated in the experience and exploration of Hon Nua Island, said that this is an impressive island with many things to explore. The island has a beautiful long sandy beach, a large cave area where you can go inside to see corals and watch swiftlets. However, this area currently has no infrastructure built from ports, toilets, rest stops, food service areas... This makes it impossible for him and his family to fully experience the island.
Cu Lao Mai Nha, Hon Chua, Hon Yen are small islands in Tuy An district known for many unique elements from natural scenery to biodiversity.
There is a lot of potential for tourism development, but these areas have not yet exploited attractive tours and routes to attract tourists.
To form these product packages, Phu Yen needs to connect infrastructure development, environmental protection and local supply services.
Director of Cuong Tour Dao Company Limited Pham Tan Cuong said that since after Tet, the company has designed and rebuilt short-term island tours (one day and one night) to serve tourists at Mai Nha Islet, tours around Ganh Da Dia area and night squid fishing tours, campfire experiences, sleeping in tents right on the island or staying at homestays nearby. Summer is the time when tourists enjoy participating in these tours the most. The clear sea water, beautiful rocky reefs, pristine beaches and natural ecosystems on the islands are all very impressive.
Recently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen province has coordinated with a number of travel agencies to survey new tourist destinations, focusing on small coastal islands to form attractive island tours and routes.
Through surveys, the units determined that Phu Yen has many small islands such as Hon Nua, Hon Yen, Cu Lao Mai Nha... with great potential for tourism development. The Department recommended that localities and some agencies and enterprises invest in infrastructure, improve transportation, develop homestays, resorts, restaurants... to serve tourism.
Tours and tourist routes are built to ensure a legal and professional basis to effectively exploit the value of the sea and islands without affecting the ecosystem and marine environment.
Stimulating peak season
Along with sea tourism, Phu Yen has many favorable factors to promote river, lake, lagoon, and rural tourism and experience indigenous cultural values. The Van Hoa plateau has a cool climate and green trees all year round. The Suoi Han area (Dong Hoa town) has cool water, majestic landscapes with natural rocky rapids. This place is also an impressive filming location in the film "Once upon a time there was a love story" by director Trinh Dinh Le Minh.
Lac Sanh hot spring (Tay Hoa district) is suitable for health care and resort tourism. Hoa Thang rock (Phu Hoa district) with its majestic nature stands out in the countryside.
O Loan Lagoon National Scenic Area (Tuy An District) with its wild, idyllic scenery and many traditional occupations and fisheries.

Photographer Le Minh (Tuy Hoa city) with many trips to explore famous landscapes and new destinations in Phu Yen shared that this place has quite rich tourism resources and beautiful and peaceful rural villages. However, some impressive locations have not been promoted to tourists. The province needs to focus on green and sustainable tourism models in coastal villages and rural areas. In addition, the locality should motivate people to build craft village tourism models and have policies to attract businesses to invest in tourism.
A representative of a travel agency, after surveying tourist destinations of rivers, lakes, villages, and plateaus in Phu Yen province, recommended that the authorities and some localities in the province should invest in infrastructure, especially the routes leading to tourist destinations. Instead of just stopping at regular sightseeing, the provincial tourism industry needs to expand the types of experiences to enhance the attractiveness of the destination.
To avoid monotonous products, local authorities need to coordinate with local people to provide services, especially village experiences such as boating, fishing, cuisine... to attract and retain tourists.
With the slogan “Go to Phu Yen”, the peak tourist season in Phu Yen in 2025 will not only have sea and island tourism, green tourism, and nature exploration, but also many attractive products and diverse culinary activities. Enjoying the specialty of ocean tuna is an activity organized by many restaurants and hotels in Tuy Hoa city.
In the upcoming peak tourist season of 2025, Tuy Hoa coastal hotels have all registered to perform whole tuna fillets with fresh specialties and dishes prepared on the spot.
To attract tourists during the peak season of 2025, Phu Yen has created stimulus packages and has many attractive tourism product packages, meeting the needs of business and conference tourism to groups of guests. Many package tourism products from air tickets, hotels to dining, sightseeing, entertainment, etc. have also been created at preferential prices.
This summer, the province is relaunching its rail tour to offer exciting journeys.
Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen province Nguyen Le Vu informed that the province will focus on summer tourism products in 2025. Highlights include beach resorts, green tourism, experiential tourism to explore nature, and explore coastal islands.
For the domestic market, the tourism industry targets tourists from the Central Highlands, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, the Central Coast provinces, the Southeast and the Southwest, especially tourists from industrial clusters in the provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Long An.
The locality focuses on a number of potential international tourist markets such as Korea, Thailand, India, Russia and European countries.
With the construction of systematic tours, routes and diverse activities, Phu Yen promises to bring visitors many new and unique experiences of a peaceful land./.
