Turn “weakness” into advantage
Coming to Tan Linh commune, Ba Vi district today, the echoes of a particularly difficult commune are no longer there. From a mountainous locality with many difficulties, the economy depends on growing corn, rice, and the local pioneering in orienting people to develop dairy farming, growing white apricot trees, and supporting policy credit capital from the early days of changing crop structure. Like the family of Mr. Pham Van Giang, Ke Moi village, Tan Linh commune. In 2014, he was lent 20 million VND from the Social Policy Bank for clean water and environmental sanitation and 50 million VND from the capital for job creation to develop grass planting for dairy cows. From the first 2 breeding cows, up to now, his family has 10 dairy cows, harvesting 80kg of milk/day. After deducting expenses, his family has a net income of 20 million VND per month, not including income from raising calves...
The Chairman of Tan Linh Commune People's Committee shared that, as one of the 7 disadvantaged mountainous communes of Ba Vi district, in recent years, social policy credit capital has become a driving force and catalyst for people to develop production, create jobs, and increase income.
Currently, the whole commune has 927 households accessing social policy credit capital with outstanding debt of 44 billion VND. Not only creating jobs and increasing income, policy credit capital also becomes the driving force for the commune to build and develop OCOP products, promoting local economic development.
No one is left behind in the acceleration journey
Tan Linh Commune is just one of the effects from the implementation of Directive 40-CT/TW, Conclusion No. 06-KL/TW. In the annual and phased socio-economic development plans, Hanoi Party Committees and authorities always consider social policy credit as one of the fundamental and key solutions. Thereby, implementing the key tasks of the city and each locality on rapid and sustainable poverty reduction, job creation, new rural construction, improving people's lives, developing the economy and ensuring social security.
From here, the implementation of policy credit associated with the creation of capital sources from the local budget has been included in the programs and plans of the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee every year and in each period. As a result, from 2015 to now, the local budget capital transferred to the Hanoi branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies for lending has increased by 7,615 billion VND (694%) compared to 2014.
In the coming years, Hanoi will continue to widely implement the contents of Directive No. 40-CT/TW and Conclusion No. 06-KL/TW to enhance the role and responsibility of Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in social policy credit. Identifying the organization and implementation of social policy credit as one of the key tasks in implementing the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021 - 2025, the 10-year socio-economic development strategy 2021 - 2030 and the following stages of the city.
