On behalf of the Politburo, Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu has just signed and issued Directive No. 42 of the Politburo on "Strengthening the Party's leadership in education work of diligence, thrift, integrity, impartiality and selflessness".
The Directive requires extensive propaganda to make cadres, party members and people of all walks of life aware of thrift, integrity, uprightness, impartiality and selflessness as the most important moral qualities of cadres, party members , civil servants and public employees and the urgency of educating and practicing thrift, integrity, uprightness, impartiality and selflessness within the Party, the political system and the whole society. Raising awareness and responsibility of Party committees, party organizations, authorities and leaders in leading and organizing the implementation of Party regulations and State laws on education and practice of thrift, integrity, uprightness, impartiality and selflessness.
"Closely link the work of educating diligence, thrift, integrity, impartiality and selflessness with the work of Party building and rectification, especially the work of cadres, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, implementing the Party's regulations on exemplary responsibility and revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period," the Directive stated.
According to the Directive, the Politburo requires the synchronous implementation of four major policies: Promoting education on thrift, integrity, impartiality and impartiality to "not want corruption, waste and negativity" along with tightening discipline, order, strengthening inspection, supervision and control of power, perfecting strict institutions to "not be able to be corrupt, waste and negativity"; handling violations without forbidden areas or exceptions to "not dare to be corrupt, waste and negativity"; improving the lives of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers to "not need corruption and negativity".
The Politburo's Directive states that cadres and party members, first of all key cadres, leaders, managers, heads of Party committees, Party organizations, and governments at all levels, must set an example in studying and practicing revolutionary ethical standards in the new period, especially in terms of diligence, thrift, integrity, impartiality, and selflessness:
Enthusiastic, responsible, diligent, dedicated to assigned work; frugal, not extravagant, wasteful; keep oneself clean, not corrupt, negative, not causing trouble, harassment; honest, upright, fair, objective;
Seriously and exemplaryly comply with Party regulations, State laws, codes of conduct, public and professional ethics; protect what is right and fight against what is wrong; strictly implement the Party Charter, Party discipline, regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and regulations on setting examples; respect integrity and honor, proactively accept responsibility when oneself and relatives are corrupt or negative; actively self-criticize and criticize, fight against individualism, fight against corruption, waste and negativity; dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the development of the country, for the happiness of the people. Regularly practice diligence, thrift, integrity, impartiality and selflessness at all times and places, in work and daily life.
The Politburo's Directive also requires innovation and improvement of content, form and methods to improve the effectiveness of education work in a thrifty, honest, impartial and fair manner, suitable for each subject; foster knowledge and improve skills for reporters, lecturers and teachers.
Make revolutionary ethics in general, and the content of diligence, thrift, integrity, uprightness, impartiality in particular, one of the main programs in training and fostering political theory, fostering and updating knowledge for leaders and managers at all levels, training and fostering programs for cadres at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, academies and schools in the army, police, local political schools, and schools for training and fostering cadres at all levels.
