That was the direction of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung during a field inspection to resolve outstanding issues related to the progress of the construction of the Van Ninh - Cam Lo Expressway Project through Cam Lo, Gio Linh, and Vinh Linh districts this afternoon, April 12. According to the report, up to now, localities have handed over 25.91/32.53 km of clean land to the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board, reaching 79.65%, with 6.62 km remaining unhanded over. Compensation and payment of site clearance support money have been completed for 28.51/32.53 km, reaching 87.6%. The remaining length that has not been compensated or paid is 4.02 km.
Regarding resettlement and relocation of affected households, 67/155 households have been relocated (within the main expressway route), the remaining 88 households are being propagated and mobilized by localities to temporarily reside households to hand over the site to the project.
Localities have basically completed the construction of infrastructure for resettlement areas and are actively speeding up the completion of a number of related items to ensure conditions for people to relocate to new residences.

Through the on-site inspection, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung acknowledged the efforts of localities in site clearance work to implement this national key project. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee commended Cam Lo district for its good performance in site clearance work, and at the same time requested the locality to continue to speed up the construction and completion of resettlement areas so that people subject to site clearance can soon relocate to new places.
Propose that the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee actively participate, together with the District People's Committee, in promoting and propagating to those who have not received compensation, and complete the handover of the entire main route before April 20, 2024.

Regarding the cases that are still stuck in the land acquisition and compensation work in Gio Linh and Vinh Linh districts, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the provincial leaders have directed and resolved the problems and recommendations of the people according to their authority. In cases where there is no agreement on the compensation plan for land acquisition and compensation, the localities are requested to review each specific case with the motto of calculating correctly and fully according to state regulations, ensuring fairness, objectivity, and no personal gain.
In cases where the best and most beneficial regulations have been applied but people still do not agree, strong and drastic measures must be taken to hand over the site on schedule.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also noted that, for the family of Ms. Phan Thi Thuy, in Rao Truong village, Hai Thai commune, Gio Linh district, through actual inspection, this is a special case. Although the house is not within the scope of land acquisition and clearance, considering that during the construction process and after the completion of the highway, it will affect the family's life, therefore, Gio Linh district is requested to prepare a dossier, propose a plan to submit to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.

To ensure the progress of handing over the clean site to the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board before April 30, 2024 as committed, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested localities to speed up the completion of the remaining tasks, including further strengthening propaganda and mobilizing people to hand over the site on schedule. Localities urged to complete resettlement areas so that people can soon move to new places of residence, ensuring conditions according to the motto "New places of residence are equal to or better than old places of residence".
