(BTNO) - On February 5, the Provincial People's Committee issued Document No. 301/UBND-KT on strengthening the implementation of protection and development of aquatic resources.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to strengthen inspection and control activities and strictly handle violations of the law in the field of aquatic resources protection; prevent and stop the use of prohibited fishing gear, prohibited occupations, fishing in prohibited areas, illegal exploitation of species in the list of endangered, precious and rare aquatic species, especially the use of explosives, electric shocks and toxic substances to exploit aquatic resources.

Organize the release of fish fry to regenerate aquatic resources effectively and in accordance with regulations, and at the same time launch a movement for the entire population to participate in protecting and regenerating aquatic resources.

People's Committees of districts, towns and cities promote propaganda work to raise awareness and sense of responsibility of organizations and individuals in the work of protecting and developing aquatic resources, with many different forms of propaganda, suitable for each subject and local traditions and culture.

Localities organize patrol activities; propagate and mobilize people not to catch aquatic products in the release areas, and regenerate aquatic resources according to regulations, especially on some occasions such as: December 23, January 15th and some major Buddhist holidays such as Buddha's birthday, Vu Lan.
