(PLVN) - During the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday (January 25 to February 2), the number of visitors to Quang Binh is estimated at 163,400, an increase of 10.5% over the same period.
Domestic visitors are estimated at 158,615, up 10.1% over the same period, international visitors are estimated at 4,785, up 24.1% over the 2024 Tet holiday.

According to the Quang Binh Department of Tourism, the Lunar New Year holiday lasted for a long time in favorable weather, so the number of domestic tourists increased quite a lot. Tourists mainly came from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and provinces and cities such as Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue City, Da Nang City... Tourists traveling in the form of families, small groups, using personal vehicles, trains, planes combined with private rental vehicles accounted for a high proportion.
Dong Hoi Airport has expanded its operating hours to 24 hours (regular operating hours are from 6am to 9pm), increasing the frequency of flights from 4 round trips/day to 7-9 round trips/day (an increase of 125% compared to normal). In addition, the railway industry has added more auxiliary trains on the routes to meet the travel needs of passengers.
