Da Nang clarifies the incident of competing for tourists at Hai Van Quan relic site

Earlier that morning, a video was circulated on several social media platforms showing people fighting over the location of the reception area and the location of the cafe. The video quickly attracted thousands of likes.

After arguing, a man ran into a coffee shop, took out an object that looked like a machete (usually used to chop coconuts), and rushed out, but was stopped by some women who rushed out to stop him and took the machete away.

In this video, there is an elderly woman who also comes out to curse, including sentences like "The chairman is here, you guys don't have to worry."

Mr. Ha Thuc Nhon, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Hiep Bac Ward, said that he has asked the police to verify, clarify and strictly handle the woman's intention when she said "there is a chairman here".

Mr. Ha Thuc Nhon also affirmed that he had no connection with the woman above. Mentioning the word “chairman” has affected and damaged the reputation of local leaders.

Hai Van Quan is a famous historical site, welcoming thousands of visitors every day.

The project to preserve, restore and promote the value of Hai Van Quan relic was started on December 19, 2021 at Hai Van Quan relic. With the aim of preserving and promoting the value of national historical and cultural relics; contributing to the socio -economic development of Thua Thien Hue province and Da Nang city.

The total area of ​​the project is about ^6,500m2 , is a Group C project, civil works, level III, with a total investment of more than 42 billion VND, of which Da Nang city budget is 50%, Thua Thien Hue province budget is 50% of the total investment.

The project was inaugurated in December 2024, currently open to visitors, no tickets are sold yet. To ensure the safety of people and tourists visiting and admiring the first majestic pass, the management unit has installed many guide signs, fire prevention and fighting systems, signs indicating the way up and down the relic and warning signs for people and tourists in areas with dangerous heights, slippery due to fog and rain.

It is known that during the period when tickets are not sold, the direct management units of this relic are the Hue Monuments Conservation Center and the People's Committee of Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City. The Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien Hue Province and the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City perform the state management function of the Hai Van Quan national relic according to regulations.
