There is a hobby or form of tourism that meets those "temporary escape" requirements, and that is outdoor camping. 
A camping tour helps people get closer to nature through fun activities, setting up tents, exploring green spaces... Each time I set up a tent in a new location, it always brings different emotions to camping enthusiasts like me. 
I remember clearly the eyes of my little daughter sparkling with joy and surprise when she first saw fireflies flickering in the forest. I also cannot forget the misty morning mist mixed with the sunlight on the lake in the morning. The most interesting thing about camping overnight in the middle of nature is that you will enjoy the fresh dawn. 
I have been awakened by the early morning crowing of roosters in the Na Ka plum valley (Moc Chau - Son La), the sound of oars of early fishermen at Nui Thung Lake (Cao Bang), or just the gentle sound of waves and the sparkling sunlight shining through the casuarina trees on the top of the tent in Hon Mot (Phu Quoc). 
I woke up, slowly stretched, rekindled the ashes from the night before, boiled a pot of water, took a sip of fragrant coffee and enjoyed the pure, gentle morning air. 
On the S-shaped strip of land, there are countless places where you can camp for 1 day, 2 days, or even longer, depending on your needs and preferences. If you choose the Northern mountainous region, a camping trip among the mountains and waterfalls in Sa Pa (Lao Cai), Moc Chau (Son La), Trung Khanh (Cao Bang)... will help you both explore the majestic natural scenery and experience the highland culture with ethnic minorities. Going to the Central or Southern regions, those who love the sun, wind, blue sea and white sand can choose camping tours in Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan or Phu Quoc Island. 
To escape the hustle and bustle of Hanoi for a short time, I have often chosen camping sites in the suburbs such as Soc Son pine hill, Dong Mo lake, Ham Lon lake... If I want to camp overnight, I often go to National Parks near Hanoi such as Ba Vi, Tam Dao, Cuc Phuong... 
A big plus for camping is that you can completely open your destination. You set a campsite from the beginning of the journey, but you can also stop in the middle of the road to roam around when you see a suitable and safe place for camping. Of course, you need to prepare enough tents, tarpaulins, blankets, air mattresses, tables and chairs, cooking utensils, coffee or tea making... These outdoor items need to be compact and lightweight, taking only a few minutes to open them. Choose a relatively flat piece of land to set up the tent, design a porch with a dining table, comfortable chairs, then sit and watch the blue sea, white waterfalls or golden rice valleys.
Outdoor camping is becoming more and more attractive because of its low cost, ease of implementation, and suitability for nature lovers and those who like to explore and move. Then you will see, this is an “addictive” substance, of course in a positive way. One more thing, you and I should always remember to bring trash bags to clean up the camping area. Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but beautiful photos and unforgettable experiences.
