On August 22, speaking with Thanh Nien reporters, the leader of Traffic Police Team No. 1, under the Traffic Police Department, Hai Duong Provincial Police, said that the unit had just discovered a driver using a fake driver's license to transport passengers.
Previously, at around 9:30 p.m. on August 20, on National Highway 18 (section through Hoang Tan Ward, Chi Linh City, Hai Duong), Task Force No. 2, Traffic Police Team No. 1 stopped passenger bus BS 19B - 007.90 (contract vehicle) for phase 2 inspection, according to the Ministry of Public Security's plan for a general inspection of passenger vehicles and container cargo vehicles from August 15 to October 15.
Upon inspection, the authorities discovered that driver Nguyen Viet Hung (58 years old, residing in Zone 6, Dong Xuan Commune, Thanh Ba District, Phu Tho) was suspected of using a fake driver's license. Upon verification, driver Hung confessed that he had purchased this fake driver's license on social media.

After making a record of the violation, Traffic Police Team No. 1 handed over the person, documents, vehicle, and evidence to Chi Linh City Police for further investigation.
After 1 week of implementing phase 2, the general inspection of passenger and cargo vehicles using containers, the Traffic Police of Hai Duong province inspected nearly 1,800 vehicles, discovered 220 violations, fined more than 240 million VND; revoked 24 driving licenses, and temporarily detained 4 vehicles.
