Son Heung-min sets record in Korea

Son Heung-min is still the number one striker in Korean football.

Recently, the Korea Football Association (KFA) announced Son Heung-min as the Best Player of 2024. With 109 points from the votes of Korean journalists and football experts, the Tottenham striker won a narrow victory over the runner-up Kim Min-jae (104 points).

This is the eighth time in his career that Son has won this prestigious award. Previously, he was honored in 2013, 2014, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. Since the award was established in 2010, Son holds the record for most wins.

In 2024, Son scored 10 goals for the national team. He was the captain and participated in almost every match of the Korean team. With his current great influence, Son is expected to continue to lead the national team to participate in the 2026 World Cup in the US, Mexico and Canada.
