However, determining the significance and importance of the expressway project for the socio-economic development of the province and the whole region, his family highly agreed. On March 18, specialized agencies of Chon Thanh Town conducted measurements of the area, counted assets and architectural objects attached to his family's land to carry out compensation and support work according to regulations. Mr. Duc said that recently, the leaders of Minh Thanh Ward coordinated with the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and the Chon Thanh Town Land Fund Development Center to organize a meeting with the people to inform them about the project and the policy of support and compensation for site clearance. In addition, the working group visited each affected household to provide specific information so that people could clearly understand.

“We are very excited because the expressway project will promote local socio-economic development. Convenient transportation, economic, trade, service and industrial development are not only good for the future of our children but also in just a few years, the Southeast region will have a breakthrough development. Therefore, we are coordinating with state agencies to immediately count assets to clear the land soon,” Mr. Duc shared.

Households in Nha Bich commune affected by the expressway project were also visited by the working group of the commune and Chon Thanh town to propagate and disseminate the policy clearly, creating consensus. Most of the people were excited. Ms. Tran Thi Bac in Cau Ngang hamlet, Nha Bich commune said: “My family only has a level 4 house of about 150m2 ^and a total land area of ​​more than 480m2 ^. The Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project passed through, forcing us to demolish the house and hand over more than 300m2 ^of land. Up to now, my family has coordinated with the working group to complete the inventory. We are waiting to be resettled, ready for a new life”.

STRIVE TO HANDOVER THE SITE BY MARCH 30

Implementing the expressway project, in Chon Thanh town, the total affected area to be recovered is ^838,619.9m2 , including land of 218 households and individuals in Nha Bich commune, Minh Thanh ward and Becamex - Binh Phuoc Industrial and Residential Park project. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Thu, Director of the Town Land Fund Development Center, said that the center established 6 teams to carry out the inventory work. Of which, Nha Bich commune has 2 teams, Minh Thanh ward has 4 teams. Each team has 5 members, including 4 members of the Town Land Fund Development Center and 1 commune-level officer. During the day, the teams go to the grassroots to carry out the inventory work for each household. At night, the center's officers and employees gather at the agency to update and compile data. As of March 19, the center has counted 132/261 plots of land, with a total area of ^{​​387,838.9m2} , reaching 55%. "We aim to accurately count, contacting every household to count. The entire agency works on Saturdays, Sundays and nights to complete the task as soon as possible," Ms. Thu added.

The Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway is 59.2km long. Of which, the section through Binh Phuoc is 7.1km long (Nha Bich commune and Minh Thanh ward, Chon Thanh town), invested by the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, with a total cost of VND 1,474 billion; implementation period is 2024-2026. After completion, the project will combine with the Western North - South Expressway, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) section to create vital traffic axes, of strategic significance, connecting the Central Highlands, Southeast, Long Thanh airport and a series of expressways, seaports, shortening travel time, transportation costs and ensuring traffic safety.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tai, Chairman of Chon Thanh Town People's Committee said: Currently, the work of inventorying houses and assets attached to land still faces some difficulties such as landowners working far away or landowners living outside the province, contacting to count and sign the handover minutes takes a lot of time. However, we have directed specialized agencies and leaders of Nha Bich Commune People's Committee, Minh Thanh Ward to make efforts to implement with the highest determination, striving to hand over the site to start the project by March 30.
