Accumulated from 2025 to present, Hanoi recorded 745 measles cases in 30/30 districts, towns, and cities, an increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Patients were distributed by age group: 81 cases under 6 months (10.7%); 107 cases 6-8 months (14.2%); 82 cases 9-11 months (10.9%), 169 cases 1-5 years old (22.4%), 122 cases 6-10 years old (16.2%), 184 cases over 10 years old (24.4%).
Hanoi CDC has closely coordinated with relevant units to closely monitor the epidemic situation to promptly detect cases of the disease in order to organize investigation, containment, and treatment of the epidemic.
The unit also supervises the implementation of the measles vaccination campaign for children from 6 to under 9 months old in: Thanh Oai, Ung Hoa, Chuong My, Phuc Tho, Hoan Kiem, Bac Tu Liem, Dong Anh, Ha Dong, Hai Ba Trung.
As of March 6, 30/30 districts, towns and cities organized the campaign, resulting in 12,272/19,546 children being vaccinated (63% of the total number of children subject to vaccination), of which 10,073 children were vaccinated at the Health Station and 2,199 children were vaccinated at service facilities.
This week, districts continue to implement the measles vaccination campaign for children from 6 months to under 9 months old under the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee; Hanoi Department of Health and Hanoi CDC.
In addition, localities should strengthen supervision of vaccination sites in the area, ensuring that vaccination sites comply with plans and professional regulations, with special attention paid to reviewing vaccination subjects and techniques.
In addition, units and localities monitor suspected measles rash fever, conduct epidemiological investigations, take samples for testing of 100% of suspected cases, organize zoning, and thoroughly handle areas with patients and outbreaks according to regulations.
