On May 9, 2024, in the atmosphere of celebrating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory and the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dien Bien province, Saigon - Hanoi Bank (SHB) presented 2 classrooms to primary boarding schools for ethnic minorities in the province.

With the desire to contribute to the cause of educating people, bringing to ethnic minority children and teachers in the province spacious and modern facilities, thereby helping them have the best conditions to study and contribute to their homeland and country, SHB has sponsored the construction of a project including 8 classrooms at the Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities in Sin Chai Commune, Tua Chua District and a project including 10 classrooms at the Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities in Phinh Giang Commune, Dien Bien Dong District, Dien Bien Province with a total construction value of 11 billion VND. The two projects were started in early 2024 in Phinh Giang and Sin Chai communes - 2 remote communes in Dien Bien province with unsynchronized traffic infrastructure and difficult travel. Despite many difficulties, SHB always closely followed and urged the progress to ensure that the two classroom projects were completed before the new school year started. The project at the two boarding schools for ethnic minorities affirms SHB's commitment to accompany social security activities, especially in the field of education and human development. Paying attention to education is not only the responsibility of the school but also of the whole society. As an economic organization, SHB always accompanies and supports educational activities, contributing to the development of the country's future generations and the sustainable development of the country. Sponsoring the construction of boarding schools for ethnic minorities in remote areas is an important activity, meeting the learning needs of more than 1,100 students in communes, wards, and Dien Bien province, while contributing to economic and social development; ensuring security and safety in the northern border provinces. In the coming time, SHB will continue to expand the program to rural, remote, disadvantaged areas, helping more generations of Vietnamese students have the opportunity to study in a modern environment, with spacious facilities, improving the quality of education. On the journey of more than 30 years of establishment and development, SHB has accompanied many generations of Vietnamese students through many programs, sponsoring competitions, and building schools. Previously, on May 5, 2024, in Dien Bien province, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu victory, within the framework of the 2024 Dien Bien Phu Cycling Race organized by the People's Army Newspaper, SHB presented 125 gifts with a total value of 250 million VND to thank the Veterans who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign. This action aims to spread love, national solidarity, uphold the tradition of remembering the source of water, and show gratitude to those who have contributed to the country.
