According to the durian price forecast for June 29, 2024, the prices of Ri6 durian and Thai durian in the Southwestern region of Vietnam are expected to increase slightly, particularly for Thai durian. Durian prices are showing a slight upward trend again. Representatives from durian-growing regions indicate that unfavorable weather conditions have affected Vietnam's durian yield and production; however, overall production is still increasing thanks to many orchards reaching harvest age.
This year, due to the intense heatwave, durian trees suffered from heat shock, causing many young fruits to fall off, resulting in a sharp decrease in yield. Therefore, durian prices may fluctuate up and down from day to day.
